Family Hotel "Anna-Christina" Vidin — Hotel in Vidin

Visited the swimming pool with my husband today 23/08/2023 and was very disappointed. The sunbeds and tables were dirty and covered in dry leaves and stains from previous customers. The swimming pool water was a pleasant temperature but the whole surface was covered with dead bugs and flies. Changing facilities and toilets were really poor, smelly and not hygienic. On top of the disappointing environment, the staff who served us was rather unfriendly. We saw that other visitors had snacks brought to their tables and we ordered some as well. The lady who took my order refused to serve us to our table and instead showed me where she will leave my food so I can go get it myself. I was baffled by her request and could not understand why we wouldn't be served as everyone else,yet I politely agreed. When I went to collect my food, the lady and two other staff were smoking and chatting behind the bar. The lady said she waved when the food was ready and was aware that we didn't see her. I'd understand her attitude if she was really busy, but there were hardly any customers. Definitely not...

Horrible experience:(we booked two rooms-VIP suite and a regular room) The air conditioning was non existent,was just a fan,no cold air coming. I complained about it and first night the young lady from the front desk came to check the rooms,the set up was proper and said will check with the maintenance and nothing happened. Next day I complained again and she told me that I should have complained earlier in the AM because the maintenance people left by 2 PM. The ACs are old and never been cleaned ever. So very hot and humid in the rooms,smells musty. The pool gets busy because they let people outside of the hotel to come and use it so it’s full with kids jumping in the water. No ventilation in the bathroom. Breakfast is ok,not that many healthy options,just basics pastries,eggs and...

Having had a great meal on our previous visit we thought we would try again. Firstly, the air conditioning units outside were not switched on. We were given seating near the swimming pool and the amount of flies was unreal. A poor very ill looking white cat wa allowed to wander amongst us. There was not many guests. I ordered a pizza and my husband meatballs. His meal came first with mine coming 20 minutes later. My pizza was burnt black around the edges. I was absolutely flabbergast as never been served with anything so awful. Worse was to happen when I bit into it it was so hard I broke my tooth! Staff did not seem to understand what we were saying and alas we only speak a little Bulgarian. Overall we were glad to leave and wont be returning...
