The people running this hotel are awesome. The kid checking us in gave us great advice and had a bubbly personality. Then I cut my foot when I was out and about and had to get a tetanus shot. It was well after 7pm, but Mooney, another guy working the front desk at the time, dropped everything to take me on his moto all around town until we found a doctor's office that was open. Then Mooney waited with me until I was seen, and even did basic translating for me (the doctors and nurses spoke no English at all). When I went to pay, the doctor's office couldn't break a $100 bill (the tetanus shot was only $6 -- I'd expected it to be closer to $100!!). Moony loaned me $20 out of his own pocket until we got back to the hotel and I could pay him back. Talk about customer service. ||||The hotel is very comfortable and quiet, with a big comfy bed and a very cold air conditioner (plus a mini fridge). The staff even ran out and got us a hot plate when we asked if there was one we could borrow so we could make coffee and tea in the room. Wow. Amazing customer service again. I highly recommend this place, esp if you'll be renting a moto in town (we rented motos from Gecko for...
Read moreThe hotel is almost brand new which was a refreshing change. The rooms are large and ours came with a balcony. Only one member of staff spoke English but we got by with our broken Khmer. The free bottled water was a nice touch as were the free bicycles (they had seen better days though). You needed the bicycles as it is about 2.5 km from the centre of town. You even need to ring for a tuk tuk as there are none near the hotel. The lack of fridge in the room was disappointing but not the end of the world. The hotel doesn't serve food (they have beers and a few snacks for sale at reception) and there are no options near by which is a little inconvenient. It was wedding season when we were in thge hotel and next door a very big and incredibly loud wedding took place, the music started at dawn and didn't stop until 11 pm. There was nothing the hotel could do about it but if you see a large marquee outside when you arrive I would advise you to find an alternative. As nice as the rooms are we would stop nearer the centre of town next time we are...
Read moreStayed for 3 nights. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and the shower was lovely. There was a nice balcony as well which was a bonus. Only giving it a 3 because there was initial confusion about our booking when we first arrived and the location is a little out of town despite the listing on booking.com saying it's in the city centre. Appart from that we had...
