We recently stayed at Lotus Blanc Homestay and overall, it was a decent experience.
Pros: The room was equipped with a closet, body soap, and two toothbrushes with a mug, along with a tea kettle and two mugs, which was convenient. Breakfast was satisfactory, and the price was reasonable. My fruit shake was delicious.I didn’t like the Amok chicken but this just might not suit my taste. The staff was very nice and helpful, making us feel welcome. The environment was mostly quiet, which was great for sleeping. The air conditioning worked really well, keeping the room comfortable. nice Ambiente outside
Cons: The room was quite dark, even with the curtains open, lacking natural light. It felt a bit gloomy. Additionally, when the curtains were open, outsiders could see in, which was bothersome. There was a daily cleaning service, but it needed to be requested separately (we assume 🤷🏻♀️). Basic supplies like toilet paper, coffee, and water were not replenished, and the trash wasn't emptied. The location is okay, with some dining options nearby, but it felt a bit isolated. The streets were dirty and somewhat strange. We encountered barking dogs on our way back at night, which was a bit unsettling. The shower caused the bathroom to flood completely. The lack of a window or ventilation in the bathroom led to unpleasant smells. Keeping the toilet door closed helped, but with it open, the odor was quite strong. There were also signs of mold. The hotel arranged a tuk-tuk driver for us, but we ended up paying $2 instead of the usual $1 offered by others. It's best to clarify prices beforehand to avoid surprises.
Overall, for the price, the stay was acceptable, but there are areas for improvement.
PS: Pictures and videos of the room are after our stay...

Read moreI want to start by saying that the owner and his team are truly lovely—friendly, helpful, and deserving of support. They clearly care about the place and their guests.
That said, my stay was a bit challenging. I woke up to what felt like Old McDonald's farm—roosters kicking off at 4 a.m. and the neighborhood dogs joining the morning chorus. The room we stayed in was genuinely nice, clean, and comfortable, but the noise really got to me. I tried using earbuds, but it just wasn’t enough. To be fair, the owner kindly offered to move us to another room, though he did mention we might still hear the rooster, which is out of his control.
The on-site food and drinks were convenient, but I found the prices a bit high. A swimming pool on the property would have made a big difference, especially on hot days. Instead, we had to walk 10 minutes and pay $2 each to use a pool at a nearby hotel.
Location-wise, the property is peaceful but far from town—you’ll need a tuk-tuk to get around.
All in all, this place has heart and charm, and if you’re a heavy sleeper, love the sounds of the countryside, and don’t mind a little extra effort for food or swimming, it could be a good fit. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the right match for me personally. Still, I wish the owner every success—he’s doing his best,...
