The establishment Montagne Residence in Kampot Cambodia, is definitely the place you want to be and to rest alone or with your family. To begin with, when you first arrive for the checking in you will be welcome with fresh passion fruit juice absolutely tasty.
Personally this is the perfect spot for a getaway with the combinaison of a modern and brand-new place and the mix of Europe architectural structure and naturel elements surrounded by greenery.
I would say, the main point of this hotel is the swimming pool placed in the center accessible for every guest from each apartment. The most convenient part is when cocktails or French fries are served in no time to you after your swimming.
I stayed there for a few days and it was so confortable. The rooms were very spacious, clean and luminous. The bathroom was really on point, the bath outside make it unforgettable like you were in the jungle.
Then, there is a need to talk about the breakfast that was really nice combining like most of hotels western food and asian food. My favorite thing was the fresh noodles soup made instantly according to your preferences. To be honest not every hotel make noodle soup for guests because it needs fresh veegies or meet but be sure that if a hotel does it, it means that there are thoughtful and that deserve the best review.
It was a real pleasure to stay there, my review is honest and positive and I hope that future guests will also get to enjoy this place like I did. I also want to mention that all the staff members were respectful and thoughtful which is an essentiel point for me that I wanted to...
Read moreMediteranian design hotel with unique, open spaces and bungalows. The landscape is beautiful and relaxing with pond and bird bath fountain. The breakfast was quite tasty even the variety was not a lot. The staffs were friendly and tried to accomodate our requests even though it seemed like they were understaffed. The room was clean but some spots were missed and looked dusty.
There was power outage on 1 night during our stay there and they didnt own a generator. It lasted only about 15 minutes but it happened like 3-4 times until morning. It was a bit inconvenient. Also there was heavy rain and they did not provide umbrellas in each bungalow so we had to walk or run in the rain to reach the lobby. I strongly suggest the management to get a generator AND umbrellas provided in each room since rooms are all bungalows.
Another funny thing is they did not inform that we needed to let them know by 10am if we wanted our room to be cleaned. That is very unusual and we were uninformed upon our arrival! It was disappointing to see our room still messy when we came back from outside.
Our room was family room and the ac placing was okay. But in the Junior Suite that we booked (239), the ac placement is opposite the bed. So there is no right swing direction that can avoid the wind blowing at us directly. We barely had sleep because of this. The management needs to fix this for the guests to have...
Read moreThe hotel staff were polite but clueless. I give you 2 examples. |1. The foyer is paved in a clear white smooth tile. So please don't start cleaning the floor in the middle of the day, soaking the floor and leaving the water all over it. It's insanely dangerous without leaving a member of staff there or at minimum a sign to warn your customers. |2. If the food doesn't smell right. DON'T SERVE IT TO YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS. |My Cambodian wife was told that is how the Tom Yam was supposed to smell. Are you kidding me. There is 'saving face' and there is 'lost the plot'||The breakfast was awful, with no-one checking if the supplies were low or completelyrun out. The omelette station operator was unwell and still being made to cook food for the guests. Not the best look when you have clearly someone unwell making your food infront of you.|The coffee was cold. Not luke warm, cold.|Come on guys, the owner has clearly spent a some fortune building what could be a outstanding venue. But you got to get management in there and some proper training for the staff who clearly want to do...
