My Parents Guest House — Hotel in Kampot

Due to a last minute family visit to Kampot our usual guest houses were all booked up so we looked around and ended up at My Parents guesthouse. As we were travelling down from Phnom Penh by train the location was handy as it is very close to the train station. It is approx 2 km out of town but this was not a problem as we hired a bike (you can hire from the guesthouse) and we also walked into town one morning which was nice. Rooms were spacious and clean, internet good. There was some minor construction works going on but due to be finished shortly. We never tried the food so cannot comment. The price was very good. I stayed here and got injured on the mountaintop. I ended up in bed for 4 mos, i could barely walk to the bathroom. They took care of me and bring me food when every i want. they went out buy my meds for me, helped me with transportation back and forth hospital, I even had a American Dr come give me treatments in the room. Very clean room food great lots of meat in friend rice. Always fresh food. Vietnamese tea for breakfast and coffee free. i also asked bananas they never charged me fir them. I ended up flying Thailand treatment for 2 mos. Then back here too stay i ended up staying over 1 yr. They offered me discount of 50$ a mo i said it was ok no need i paid 10$ day for room....

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I'll start with the room, they exceeded our expectations. They were sparkling clean and they had a cleaning service too! It was such a nice and homely layout it was a vegetable garden in the center and the rooms went around the garden! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and not to mention how helpful they were! They have a small kitchen there where you can enjoy breakfast lunch and dinner! They also offer a scooter rental for the cheap price of $5 per day! The wifi was good and the price of the room was cheap considering how nice the place was! It had a great location and was really close to the center! If your in kampot I can not recommend this...
