This is a bit of a difficult review to write as we were a little disappointed in Sihanoukville itself which may have influenced us a little. When we first arrived and travelled a debris cluttered unsealed road to the hotel we thought what have we done, but the welcome we received was fabulous and we soon had our minds at rest. The hosts are simply amazing and will, and do, go out of their way to ensure you feel comfortable. They will make bookings, give recommendations and serve drinks throughout the day. Read moreBooked 2 nights here on Agoda. Owner is named Chen and she did a great job of communicating prior to arrival. We finally showed up around 7:00pm after a long bus trip from Battambang, and she was there to welcome us in person. Loved our complimentary welcome drinks! Chen speaks excellent English and she was super kind in explaining the local area. We visited Sokha beach based on her recommendation, and it was great. She didn’t offer to obtain either ferry or bus tickets for us, but we did get an explanation regarding where both of the companies were located. Room was big and comfortable. Free water dispenser was nice. Tiny bathroom with almost no shower space. Loved the bar area and endless free instant coffee. FYI if you book online: make sure to check your reservation. I thought that we had already paid via Agoda, but our reservation actually said that we were supposed to pay at check in. Chen allowed us to pay at check out instead. So...
