Otres Long Beach Bungalows 1 — Hotel in Khaet Preah Sihanouk

We originally booked 2 nights here but booked an extra night.|It's a bit far from the town but it's quiet here which is nice, apart from the morning where they are doing building work.|We booked a double room and got a double and a queen bed! Which was lovely!|We arrived quite late and it was dark and the gate was closed but turned out it wasn't locked or anything and he just took us to our room without checking us in-it was quick and speedy! He also gave us a big bottle of water. |The room is clean and big, the bathroom is also clean. The sink is a bit small but nothing you can do about it. |The guy who owns it is lovely and friendly. On the 2nd day we were supposed to be going on an island tour but we never got picked up. So I asked him if he could call the company and he did and turns out it was cancelled! And as we brought the tickets from town, We had to get back in to get our refund. He let us use a scooter for free! Which was very kind of him and we filled up petrol for him as a thank you. ||We rented a bike the day before for 5USD. ||Apart from chilling here, there's not much to do. We were close to the beach but unfortunately we didn't get to see otres beach due to the weather :( ||But this is a great place to stay if you want to be away...

This hostel is situated in the small Otres Village - it is about 5 minutes walk from the beach. There are a few restaurats in this area, but you could also have some good and cheap food in the accomodation, which is owned by Khmer family. ||||This hostel is full of young backpacker. The staff speaks English and they were very pleasant and helpful . The area is very calm and cool. ||||You can rent a motorbike there - 5 dollars for 24 hours.||||We stayed there for two nights in the room for two. The room was big enough. The bathroom and the toilet were ok and clean. The beds were comfortable enough. We slept well, sometimes there were a noise from construction (they are building new bungalows), but nothing horrible. We had an aircondition in our room. ||||The breakfast was not included in our stay, but you can buy some there - there was choice of eggs, smoothies (we loved banana smoothie), wraps or toasts. The prices were ok. ||||The wifi connection is available and it is really fast. ||||We enjoyed our stay in this bungalow and we really recommend this...

The bungalows are up a side street off the main road into the village, run by a lovely family who live on site. Our room had fridge, hot shower, TV, and aircon (as well as fan) - other cheaper rooms had cold showers, but aircon was being installed in some rooms as we were leaving, so upgrades are happening. Decor is basic, but the bungalows are clean with reasonable beds. There are lots of restaurants nearby, pick of the bunch is Otres City. The beach is handy, just 5 minutes away, and there are a couple of bars close by for a drink later (brew house and Village Idiot). Enjoyed this place enough to extend our stay...
