Paradise Cozy Guest house Sihanoukville — Hotel in Khaet Preah Sihanouk

The building is new, but no one is taking care of it and the inside is a disaster.

The bathtub and toilet are together, after taking a shower the entire toilet is wet, there is not even a curtain.

The bed linen is old and unpleasant, in pellets.

The prices for additional services in the lobby (drinks, food) are greatly inflated.

The room was mediocrely cleaned, there was hair in the bathroom and small debris on the floor.

The room area is much smaller than indicated on the website, 12 meters at best.

The staff does not speak any languages ​​other than their own, so registration and resolution of other issues takes a very long time.

Toilet paper is cheap and very thin, you have to fold the paper several times before using it.

The fan in the bathroom is very noisy.

There is no refrigerator, kettle or crockery in the room, no table or TV. They don't provide shampoo or shower gel.

The location is terrible, industrial zone, dark, no road, dirty, no sign or infrastructure nearby.

The Internet works disgustingly everywhere.

Judging by the reviews, everyone is initially given a room in the basement, which was not written about when booking.  They agreed to change the room only for an additional fee, although the hotel was empty.

On the first day, a huge spider crawled onto the floor, in the evening a giant cockroach flew in on the bed and 3 more were running on the floor. After everything, I asked to change the room, they gave me a room on the 1st floor with a balcony.  The balcony doors do not close tightly, and there is a large gap between the doors.  I refused because insects might crawl in through the gap again.  Then the staff offered a room on the 2nd floor.  When I just opened the door of the room and huge cockroaches ran along the doorframe in different directions.

After which a drunk old woman, apparently the manager, came and said that she does not allow changing the number, if I want to change the number, then I have to pay an additional 20 or 30 dollars, respectively. I refused and asked for my money back so I could go to another hotel. She started screaming, waving her arms, poking her fingers in my face, grabbed a bottle to hit me, other employees stopped her, ran around the rooms in underwear and a towel like crazy, from her illiterate speech you could hear obscene phrases that she would call now  and they will kill me. In the end I left. The tuk-tuk driver said that he was very surprised to see me here, as this is not a tourist place.

Perhaps, the locals are used to living in the dirt and it will do for them.  Unacceptable place...

Rooms are big, even when you book for one person there are 2 beds minimum per room - don't take my word for it, but in my case it had 2 beds.

Very friendly reception staff, I had trouble ordering food online - the guy that worked last night's shift was very endearing. He gave me an alternative; although they don't have a restaurant or kitchen - they do sell noodles 🍜😋

He even prepared it & served it for me, outside at the table. That's commitment! 🙏🏽

No troubles with the room, everything was perfect. Loved the view in room 28, which is on the 2nd floor.

I've seen comments about some negative events that apparently happened here in the past - yet, I have found everything in a positive light ✨

I would definitely stay here again whenever I'm back in Sihanoukville 🙌🏽

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are really nice with good aircon, great bathroom, super clean with a fridge and kettle. The staff here are ever so friendly, good wifi. We ordered takeaway food which was good, cheap and easy. People around this area were very friendly. There is a shortcut to the main road here - when you leave the property, turn right and go straight up the steps ahead - it saves a lot of time and you will get to shops / food options.
