Arrived at a Friday afternoon! ||First impression at the entrance was good, but the problems started when I was going to check in..||The check in time started at 14.00, I arrived at 16.00! When I got there my room was not ready.||So I had to sit in the lobby for over an hour while they were making my room ready.. I ordered room service that night, which was cold when it got to the room.. and the steak was one of the most dry steaks I’ve ever had (but hey, for 39 dollars it’s a bargain)! The water in the bath tub on the balcony, had a sort of brown/yellow color to it so I don’t think that anyone would have wanted to take a bath in it. On the second day when they came to clean my room they came at 15.30 in the afternoon, and they didn’t fill up the “complimentary” minibar either.. so I had to go and ask them for some more bottles of water.. and in the middle of the night the power shut off in the room so the ac stopped working..||When I was checking out, I were gonna pay for the steak that I had.. but their system was down so I couldn’t make the payment, which meant that I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to get their system going again! (Had a flight to catch)! So to be honest, this is one of the worst hotel experiences...
Read moreEverything else is good except the casino. Mostly dealers don't like it when guess exchange money or casino coins into smaller note. They complained about feeling tired and bored because of this exchange and they acted like it annoyed them alot. One of the dealer even suggested me to change it from outside the casino. Very rediculous! If you don't like your job that much just resign. Not to mention most of them even used curse words in Khmer to Chinese customers who annoyed them with the changing money or other things and they always get away with it, because those customers don't understand Khmer language. What those dealers are good at is asking for tips. Normally the tip will keep private for a few people that involved to devide them in private, of course this is against the casino rules but they have their way to do it and make it safe. I don't like to hand in other people's business but sometimes they kept asking for tips even though I said no. Cause why give tips to such people with this kind...
Read moreMy stay at Xihu Hotel at Sihanoukvile was quite nice that offers a positive experience and making a place that I would visit again.
The hotel’s location was at 2 thnou street. There were more Chinese than the locals and also inside of the hotel too. Most of the guests are Chinese.
The hotel’s lobby is beautiful with a peaceful atmosphere and I also booked a room with a sea view of the beach. The room was clean and the bed is comfortable. The swimming pool at the hotel was also nice with deepest depths is 1.5 meters and there’s also a kid section too.
The breakfast buffet offers a variety of Chinese foods and many other kinds of cuisines. Everything was delicious especially the pastry with many kinds of breads.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to couples who are travelling in their honeymoon that is looking for a relaxing and romantic getaway. Im rating it 4 stars because of the guests that are rude and annoying to the other guests but the hotel...
