La Vista GuestHouse — Hotel in Khan Boeng Keng Kang

My friend and I are from the philippines. We planned to visit cambodia early this year and made a reservation at la vista guesthouse last aug 2017 for oct 1, 2017 one night stay. We travelled from vietnam to phnom pneh via bus, and arrived at 940pm. We are so tired and hungry. When we went to the la vista guesthouse they told us that they dont have any available rooms for us. The man at the reception claimed that he was not informed that we had a reservation, and he wants us to transfer to another place. ||We explained that we are not from cambodia, it is late at night and we were both girls. We told him that we are not used in the place, hence it will be very difficult for us to transfer and find another place to stay carrying our huge suitcase on our own. But instead of offering to help carry our stuff and help us find a new place, he insisted that we transfer to a nearby hotel and just gave us a map. ||We were so dissapointed and frustrated that we hurriedly went out of the guesthouse carrying our large stuff to find another place. It would have been better if the people at the reception area in la vista guesthouse offered us some help to transfer and and help us carry some of our things,instead of just giving us a map , since it was negligence on their part that we dont have a place to stay. ||I am STRONGLY NOT recommending...

Booked 2 nites with Seith who is the manager, came for checking in but the receptionist did not recognize my booking until I had to show my booking on my computer, then got the room key and paid all in advance. This is a very strange thing that I have never seen it anywhere. The hotel is very clean and quite newly built, the staff is friendly although they speak not much English. So sometimes you will find it hard to communicate with them. The hotel is located in a quiet street, closed to the Olympic stadium, 30m walk to the river, the independence monument and the interesting attractions. I paid 12 usd/night without breakfast but they do not serve it in here. I do not mind walking to the street to have breakfast every morning I stayed here or take a tuktuk with cheap price to get...

We've stayed in La Vista for 6 nights, which is 4 nights too long in this place. The location is the achiles heel of this place, seeing that if you want to eat somewhere normal or get laundry done, you have to walk quiet a bit. Also, most of the staff did not know enough English to answer our questions about mundane things such as laundry.|However, the room itself was very spacious, with a good bathroom (water pressure left much to be desired), and the beds were really...
