We booked a deluxe sea view room at Island Center Point and it was stunning. Everything in the room was finished to a high standard: quality furniture, a comfortable bed and a beautiful outdoor bathroom with luxury toiletries. We were able to step straight from the terrace of our room onto the beach where there are lovely cabanas dotted around. The staff were all delightful, friendly and eager to help whenever they were needed.

Island Center Point is towards the end of the bay closest to the jetty where the ferry drops you. It’s very quiet which suited us, we were able to dip in and out of the livelier bars further along the bay whenever we wanted and then return to the peace and comfort of our resort. It feels as though there is still work going on (not that we were in the least disturbed) and I imagine things will only improve as it becomes more established.

Saracen bay is lovely, the sand is probably the best I’ve ever come across - it’s like talcum powder. On the two days we were there our side of the island was very breezy, which we were told is often the case in the dry season - this was actually very nice and kept the temperature down but for a change of scenery we also followed the signs and walked across the island to Lazy Beach where you could have been on a different island everything was so calm. There is a lovely bar and restaurant on Lazy Beach which I would also recommend.

Breakfast is buffet style in the restaurant and caters to all tastes but a small criticism would be that staff were slow to replenish food that had run out. The restaurant is open all day and serves dinner in the evening but it was very quiet on both the nights we stayed - to me it lacked atmosphere at night and as such didn’t draw people in. There is plenty of opportunity in the future to make this more inviting and then I’m sure good trade would follow.

All in all I would...

Accommodation wise it's one of the best of the east coast of the island. The rooms are clean, well equipped with a very performant and quiet airco and a very beautiful and comfortable bathroom. The staff does it best to tend to your needs.

It's indeed a very remote destination. On the east coast there are a couple of beach hotels, Island Center Point is one of the most luxurious, a dive shop, a small 'groceries shop' otherwise there is not really something else...

There is no main road so you have to walk over the beach to get somewhere, it can be quite tricky especially when it's high tide. The hotel staff provide a shuttle service with a small tractor and cart over the beach on request. I would recommend to take backpacks instead of trolleys if you plan to travel here.

There is also a lot of trash flushing in from the mainland... 🙁 Island Center Point does it best to clean up their part of the beach, but they seem to be alone in that. For that matter they have a very nice beach with nice sunbeds.

Wifi connection at Island Center Point is not good 👎 and when you're on the beach all day it's something I would've liked... The food at the restaurant is not great either. We found ourselves often frequenting other restaurants of nearby hotels for better food and WiFi 😬

I would definitely recommend the private boattour the staff organised for us! That was an experience.

So overall, If you want to have a remote but pretty luxurious stay, book here, come with backpack, keep in mind the bumpy boat ride, and eat at places...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this resort and I can honestly say it was one of the best accommodation experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who were not only friendly and helpful but also incredibly professional and polite throughout my entire stay. Their attention to detail and dedication to making guests feel at home truly stood out.

The hospitality here exceeded my expectations. The resort arranged a convenient pick-up service from the pier, which made my arrival seamless and stress-free. When I arrived at the resort, everything was spotless, the room was exceptionally clean, well-maintained and beautifully presented. It felt like stepping into a peaceful oasis.

One thing that really touched me was how the staff constantly maintained the resort's environment to ensure everything remained clean, tidy and inviting. You could tell they genuinely cared about the space and the comfort of their guests.

What made my stay even more special was the unexpected room upgrade I received. It was such a thoughtful gesture and I was truly grateful for it. That small act of kindness made me feel so appreciated and valued as a guest.

I can’t recommend this resort enough, it’s the perfect place to relax, recharge and be treated with genuine care and hospitality. Thank you again to the amazing team for making my stay so memorable. I’ll...
