To sum - food was ok , the turkish "chef" was incredibly rude, I WONT RECOMMEND. I ordered beef wrap initially. Afterwards taking coke zero, I asked the worker how much and he didn't understand so I asked him if it was 1, pointing one finger and the second to the coke and he said yes. While that happened, I asked what's the wifi, they showed my the password for a wifi from the place near them,it didn't work. After saying it doesn't work multiple times. He said he "turns on the hotspot" eventually just giving me the password of the pre-existing wifi network which was "bythesea" When I wanted to pay and leave the locals didn't know what to do so theyish called the same "Hotspot guy" so I asked 7$? And he said the coke was 1.25, I told him about how the worker told me it was 1, and we argued for a bit. He said and I quote:"i dont mind for the 25 cents, i just dont like your attitude" Which obviously angered me.i told him to take what he wants, he followed out with "where are you from?" Obviously not with a friendly intention. He took his 7.25$ and I left.
To be fair, the food was OK, and I wanted to recommend this place to my friends even.To sum - food was ok , the white staff member was incredibly rude, I WONT RECOMMEND. To be fair, the food was not bad, tho...
Read moreI've been to this restaurant every single day while I was at the island and I totally recommend it. The fresh wrap bread is beyond this world, its an ethereal delicacy that will gently hug your food into a sumptuous oneness. No need to worry about spice levels here because they serve you a separate plate of spice mixes for you to decide what and how much you need in. If you are vegan or vegetarian By The Sea is no doubt your best choice in the island, but they also cater for meat lovers. In fact they have all sorts of options, the menu is quite comprehensive, not to mention prices are good too. The quantities are large, I wasnt able to finish some of my meals. Oh and also the beer is super cold, served in a frozen glass. Chips? Real potatos only, not frozen shenanigans. Ambience is relaxed, solid wooden tables where you can touch the beach sand with your feet and feel the sea breeze...
Read moreCame across this amazing place. I have to say they have best pizza on the island, pretty much in the whole Cambodia. The pizza had generous cheese. It was also larger then expected. It wasn't like those tiny ones you buy on the mainland. And the price was reasonable for a pizza on the island. Also, try the chicken fry rice. It was super delicious. It had an amazing flavor and wasn't dry.
We liked the place so much, we came back for breakfast. The servings were large. It was a delightful surprise. The sausage was big and the bacon was huge. The breakfast there was fulfilling. And again, breakfast dishes came with a generous amount of cheese.
They also do massages and take people out to dive around the island. The owner is super friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be back for more pizza...
