Hain Hain Guesthouse — Hotel in Koh Rong

To be honest this is the most real and true khmer (Cambodian) place on the Island. The Hein family has been around for much longer than most other places. It's a family business with the whole family living in the same house in the back. If u are friendly and nice u will get the cheapest room on the island or the cheapest dorm which cost me 3 dollars a night. But I must admit I speak a bit Khmer and that makes everything cheaper in the whole kingdom of wonders. If u want to support locals go there and say hello in Khmer they will smile and maybe give u private room for 7-10 dollars. If u pay in Cambodian riel it will be even cheaper. So friendly owners!! And it's clean and nice and free water. However, if you stay in one of the private rooms you have to hear people talking and chilling out at the porch all day. They should make a sign or something, making people more respectful, and quiet after 23 or something. We had to move because of three super annoying Spanish ladies hanging there 24/7. Also, in normal season, it's very close to the bars so it's very loud music all night. And there's many roosters making the roostersound early each morning. They took me in with warm hospitality and such kindness. Very, very nice and very friendly family is running this Guesthouse. I was lucky to get to stay with them for 5 nights.Only good words I have of this place, location is good, bed was nice, price is right.
