Rubbish Island the name should be. The locals make zero effort in keeping this paradise clean. There is rubbish in every corner of the island. Such a shame as the beach are stunning with beautiful white fine sand. I saw tourists many times collecting rubbish on the beach. Impossible to find a bin where you can throw your rubbish in. The keep giving price to tourists in US dollars as if everyone here is American despite the fact I was showing my local currency cash during my payments. Tuk tuk are trying to rip off tourists as much as they can. Restaurants and bars are very low quality and customer service is non existent. This has nothing to do with the country poverty. Taking care of nature and give good customer service costs no money. All the resorts are covered in rubbish. The rubbish also comes from the sea but mainly is the one produced...
Read moreI spent on this beach in this little village 2 nights and it was amazing experience. These landscapes are breathtaking, people are happy, lot of happy animals too, cheap prizes, paradise. You can rent a private room for only $10/night (only fan, no hot water, very simple), $15/night same room but with the sea view, a scooter for $10/day, jeep car for $40/hour (expensive), or tuktuk driver who takes you around the island for $30/3 hours, $50/5 hours.
