Beautiful Location, Great Staff — But Terrible Management and a Nightmare Experience

Let me start by saying the employees were amazing — warm, welcoming, and truly helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect, with the ferry pick-up and drop-off spot literally right outside the hotel. The beach feels almost private due to how secluded it is, which was a huge plus and made it feel like our own little slice of paradise.

Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

The management was absolutely awful. The first room we were given had bed bugs all over the bed which weren’t just tropical bugs. As every time we tried to brush them off they kept appearing and they couldn’t fly. We raised the issue, and they were initially reluctant to move us. After some pushback, they finally gave us a new room — which was fine — but we asked for a refund for the first night since we’d need to wash all our clothes to avoid bringing what we believed were bed bugs to our next hotel.

Instead of refunding us, they offered to wash our clothes for free. We agreed… only to have all of our white clothes come back stained red and completely ruined. When we brought this to their attention, they dismissed us, refused any form of compensation, and claimed it was our fault because we “hadn’t washed our clothes in a month.” This was not only untrue (we had just done laundry at our previous stop) — it was completely beside the point.

Even if we hadn’t washed them in a year, that still wouldn’t justify the clothes being destroyed in their care.

Management took zero responsibility, was rude, dismissive, and completely lacked basic customer service skills. They kept saying it was “our responsibility,” ignoring the fact that we wouldn’t have even needed to wash our clothes if there hadn’t been bugs in the bed in the first place.

To top it off, the food is overpriced, and you can find much better and more affordable options just a short walk down the beach (including some great Thai food spots). The experience was so frustrating, we genuinely considered leaving and ended up spending our day at a nearby resort, which had a much better vibe and amenities.

Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and would never pay full price to stay here. There are much nicer resorts on this same beach — with better service, better management, and fewer...

The accommodations are another highlight of this hotel. The rooms are incredible, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. They are spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed to provide a serene and silent retreat. The beds are extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the modern amenities enhance the overall experience. I was particularly impressed by the great Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable throughout my stay, allowing me to stay connected with ease.

Safety is clearly a priority at this hotel, and I felt completely secure during my visit. The property is well-maintained, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect. One of the most pleasant surprises was the lack of mosquitoes, which can often be a nuisance in tropical locations. This made my stay even more comfortable and worry-free.

As a local, I can attest to the high standards of this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the natural beauty of Koh Rong while enjoying top-notch service and amenities. We had a delightful two-night stay. The bungalow, beach, and pool area were kept tidy. swimming right in front of the hotel was perfect. Daily cleaning service available on request. Upon arrival, there were a couple of minor maintenance issues, promptly resolved. The place is charming, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The complimentary buffet breakfast offered Thai and Western options, including a delicious Thai soup. As we needed early morning checkout to catch a transit, they kindly prepared a simple breakfast of bread and fruit with jam and butter, which greatly helped on our journey. Fresh pool towels and a minibar fridge were available. The location, at the end of the bay, is convenient with a 10-minute walk to the main pier for shops, restaurants, and a small medical clinic. WiFi worked well.

our stay was smooth and comfortable. The only concern is that the general upkeep of buildings and rooms could benefit from more regular maintenance. For example, the air conditioning filter and remote batteries should be refreshed periodically. Pricing seemed a bit high considering the accommodation's quality and location.
