Sandbank is the best restaurant/bar on Koh Rong! My fiancée and I were there during the rainy season, which is quiet. Walking the beach, it began down-pouring. We saw colorful lights up the beach and the lovely employees of Sandbank emphatically ushered us into to dryness.
We were their only guests and proceeded to have the most amazing meal of both Masaman and green curry stews! Wow, just wow. The cocktails were, by far, the best we’ve had in Cambodia or Thailand.
Lastly, the staff are amazing! They are the kindest, most welcoming on our whole trip. Dao has a smile from ear to ear all the time and Nak, the manager made us feel like we were in his home. His hospitality exceeded all expectations over and over again (and he’s an amazing chef)!

Don't miss this gem when...

You go there you are ignored by the waiters, you have to ask everything at the bar, they didn't came back with our money, we had to ask our change back. We went there on our first day to have breakfast and it took 20min to be served and the plates were almost empty ( and not good at all). It's very chilled out though, if you are there to have a cheap beer or a coke/sprite ( which are the only drinks at 1$) and chillout with some music it's a good place ( moreover it was just next to our hostel) but for the rest, go elsewhere ( and ask, pick up your drinks and...
