Really good bungalow with camping/tent options for those on a budget. This was my second time staying here, I was here in February and stayed in a tent alone. Came back this week and booked an aircon room for a bargain price with my wife.||They offered us free snorkels to use to see the glowing plankton on the evening, which we did, and it was magical experience. The bungalows are overlooking the beach, and it's quiet at nice, which I loved. They have a BBQ that customers can use to cook, and they even offered to help us with the cooking, and we had dinner with all the new friends we made staying here. It is also a short motorbike ride to Sok San beach -- the most beautiful white sand beach I've ever seen, and which easily ranks higher than the beaches in places like Koh Pipi, without the massive crowds. We rented a motorbike from them for a really good deal, and it was a high quality Honda scooter. It's even walking distance to Koh Touch (the party beach) so you can party nearby when you feel like it, but enjoy having a quiet peaceful room away from the ragers going on over there.||Koh rong is being rapidly developed, so now is a great time to visit before they finish the airport, 5 star resorts, and casinos here. I'd say plankton beach is the best way to go, even if you aren't...
Read moreI need to tell you our special experience with the Plankton Bungalows, and the owner Mr. Bot. Our Group of friend’s Stayed in The plankton Bunglows For almost two weeks! We could not leave this magical place. Firstly the rooms are super clean and comfortable, AC worked good and bathroom was clean. There was no hot water but it did not matter as it was hot!. The Beach is so beautiful and we spent every morning reading a book quietly and peacefully on the hammock. The main road is about a 5 min walk which is not so bad. You can also rent bikes on the spot. Lastly the owner Mr Bot was the kindest person on the island. Every thing we needed he took care of. We wanted to have a bonfire with about 20 freind’s and he helped us organize everything . He helped us deliver our language back and forth to the pier out of his kind heart.
I almost forgot the plankton experience! At night you can see Planktons an experience I...
Read more(Top floor bungalow) Small, very basic room, two mattresses on the floor, one shelf, and a fan. No mosquito net on the window or the door. Plenty of mosquitoes will visit if you leave these open for ventilation. Door padlocks from outside. No way to close it from inside. Door is made of material that a newborn could punch through. Floor moves underfoot, I'm sure it's loud for people staying downstairs. Good view from balcony though! Bathrooms are pretty gross, either painted black inside or made of straw so again perfect for attracting and hiding mosquitoes. Soundgarden down the road puts on parties a couple times a week and plays techno loud enough to shake the walls until 5am. Good things - staff were pretty friendly and they gave us free snorkel rent and they rent out scooters for 10usd (standard for...
