We were a group of 6 friends and we spent 4 nights in Marirath Boutique Hotel. First of all we loved the funny and welcoming owner Mrs. Rath, she treated us as a family. The resort is really nice, with a colonial vibe, a nice swimming pool surrounded by a tropical garden. We had the upstairs rooms, spacious and with a beautiful wood floor. Every room had a balcony with a view on the swimming pool and garden. The location is out of the centre of Siem Reap, it means no crowded area, but just 10 minutes awat from the city centre with a Tuktuk coating only 2,5$. I will come back for sure in this nice little resort. Mantainance of the room need a little bit more of touch. Breakfast menu is really basic. The owner was nice to give us always free plate of fruit and tea. I hope the menu of the breakfast and the food will be improved. In the night can hear some roosters from the neighbours. No a big bother anyway. Around the resort there are no restaurant and being the onsite menu very limited, you will go always outside for dinner to the city centre.

We’ve just spent our third of 14 nights here and boy, are we impressed. Fabulous swimming pool with very comfortable day beds, the cushions appear to be brand new. The pool side vibe is oasis. The room itself is large and with the added area of the balcony which overlooks the pool area, there’s plenty of room. Lovely dark timber floors and the bed and pillows are comfortable. Great air conditioning but we prefer a fan which was provided upon request. Good restaurants within an easy walk. It’s in a very quiet area about a 10 minute tuk tuk ride in to Pub Street but at only US$2.00, transportation is quick and cheap. We chose this location as we wanted peace and quiet and that’s exactly what we got. Great service in room and pool side. The food is tasty, is of a good size and reasonably priced. You won’t go hungry, that’s for sure. The owner and staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Marirath isn’t new but it’s very clean and has a beautiful vibe and great pricing for the budget conscious.

The hotel changed management after 2023 and is now in a dire situation, completely different from what the photos suggest. Maintenance has been virtually non-existent; the air conditioning units were not functional, and the hot water heaters also failed to work. A dead cockroach was found in the bathroom. We opted to leave it for room service to address, but when we returned, they had replaced the towels yet left the visible insect behind. This reflects a serious lack of professionalism from the hotel staff. Breakfast was also unappetizing. Ultimately, we had to switch to a neighboring hotel, which turned out to be much better.

We had a truly wonderful time at Marirath, so much that we extended our stay to 13 days. This place is unique, a beautiful architecture standing in a luxurious garden filled with flowers and crowned by a stunning pool, which is an absolute best at every hour of the day. The rooms are really gorgeous, spacious and fresh, all wooden with original colonial design and a very nice individual terrace. They were impeccably cleaned everyday. Also a very convenient location as the hôtel is directly on the road to the temples. All the hotel staff made us feel in paradise... Everyone here is extremely sweet, from the helpful tuk-tuk drivers who speak great english, to the cooks who make excellent soups, and to all the team of gardeners, maids and receptionists who were always smiling, welcoming and so polite. We especially want to thank the owner, the adorable Sara, who took such great care of us from day 1. As the hôtel was full booked for Khmer new year, as well as all the other hôtels in the city, she still managed to provide us with a superb and cheap accomodation. She allowed us to have a blast for New Year's in Seam Reap, and during all our stay at Marirath so we can't thank you...
