Bio Vista Motel — Hotel in Alberta

We stayed 3 nights in Room 23, along with our well behaved 10 pound dog. This is an older motel, which an evidently caring owner and staff team has buffed into its' best possible condition; the housekeeping was 'sparkling', as another commented. Microwave, 1/2 size fridge, and 'k cup' style coffee maker (along with in wall AC unit) topped the list of free amenities. including easily accessible wifi. The above normal height - likely 16 or 17" conservation toilet was a joy - how many of us have encountered 13 inch toilets that are nearly impossible to use? Not in this room at the Bio... we truly appreciated it. Yes, there are signs of its' age - freshly painted walls show minor signs of its' history of locking devices (used many years ago in all motels to secure all pictures to walls), but this simply adds to its' charm, IMO. The case goods are older, but also freshly painted; it is evident this is an owner who chooses to take great effort to present an aging product in the best possible way - I would recommend this to anyone (and many of our fellow travelers here this week drove CN Rail trucks, or other well known corporate names.) Day before came to bio vista, stayed bison motel. Bison was dirty and terrible their staff was kept excused. However, this motel staff was not. Really nice and friendly and gives me a good deal. Room was excellent. Motel seem like old, however, inside was very clean with good smell and not looks old that much. And can smell alcohol. Before I check in they sanitized room one more time for me. I was concerned due to current COVID-19 situation. They said they sanitizing room everyday. Based on their action, I think their word is true. Room was very comfortable and cleaned. I’m very satisfied compared experience from bison motel. I definitely stay here next time....

I was in town for a roller derby tournament and was on a budget. I found this little gem online.

At first I was a little scared because of the low star rating but the price was what i could afford.

We checked in and paid upfront (which was nice). The owner was super nice and informative. When we got to our room we were expecting something dated and not clean, but to my suprise it was amazing!!

The room was updated and super cute!! It felt like we walked into a little cabin. It was super clean and the bed was AMAZING!!

When we checked out I got a text saying thank you for staying and a discount for next time..

I will 100% stay here again and bring the entire...
