Roy & his beautiful wife are the proprietors of Chalet Beaconsfield & are absolutely wonderful! They treat you like family and are so kind & caring. Whenever I come " home" to Beaconsfield I always stay here as it's absolutely perfect in every way. Wonderful neighborhood to walk, especially the beauty along the Lakeshore and a ( very) short walk to Beaurepaire Village where dining at the " Duke & Divine" restaurant about a 4 minute walk away is superb as well as the local shops that have everything you need. I grew up a couple of streets over so whenever I visit from Nova Scotia it feels like I'm try home again here. The daily room rate is very reasonable, the rooms are always very clean and the beds comfortable. Honestly, they provide everything you need to have a very comfortable night's sleep! Above all else, I'm always very happy to see Roy as he's the nicest owner/ manager out there and he goes above & beyond the duties that go with running such a beautiful motel. I stayed for 2 nights last week and when I booked in he asked how my dad was doing which was so kind and kind of shocked me that he remembered as he has so many who must stay. I was last in Beaconsfield last January when my dad was very sick and of course stayed at the Chalet Beaconsfield. I also had forgotten my old i-Pad charger back then too and when I showed up last Wednesday as I had a reservation, Roy immediately came out with my charger with my name on it. .I mean, who does that?😳 There must be so many things that are left behind at motels / hotels but to show up over 8 months later and to be handed back something that you'd forgotten on a previous stay? Well, that shows character of the finest kind. Anyways, wonderful, wonderful place to stay and if you book, you won't regret it. In fact, you'll be happy because of all the money you've saved as so many hotels/ motels lately, post COVID, seem to be fleecing everyone trying to make up for lost revenue. Thank you so much guys for always making my stay pleasurable and look forward to seeing you again within the coming months!...
Read moreI am usually a generous reviewer and have only ever issued a one star once before but this place merits it. The only really good thing about this place are the owners who live on site. They are friendly and attentive to your needs. However the place is in my opinion sadly in need of repair. See the photos since a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. I doubt that the wiring is to code. We opened what we thought was a closet and found the mess shown in one of the photos. Another photo shows the entrance with a trip hazard right at the front that my partner fell over.|It is true that the neighbourhood is great -but nothing about this place is.|While our hosts were friendly, you should be aware that they are not readily available from 8pm until 10 am the next day.|Do yourself a favour and pass this one by. Even a cheaper rate does not warrant a stay here.|Beds are saggy, floors are dirty and cracked, kitchen is tiny and badly laid out (drawers could not open since oven was in the way), ceiling light only works with...
Read moreRoy & his wife are fantastic and always go above and beyond. I've stayed many times over the years when I fly in from Nova Scotia and "Chalets Beaconsfield" has become my home away from home. There's certainly other hotels/ motels around but you can't beat the warm hospitality and attention to detail that "Chalet Beaconsfield " provides. Highly recommend! Close to beautiful surroundings, it's less than 10 minutes to Ste Anne's where there are plenty of bars and great restaurants by the locks, less than 15 minutes from the airport, 8 minutes to Pointe Claire where there's some great shopping in the small town or Fairview, the largest mall on the West Island.. Beaurepaire, which is part of Beaconsfield, provides some great local shopping or a fantastic lunch or dinner at the " Duke & Divine" restaurant a 3 minute walk in the " Village" or just a beautiful place to just walk around. Kudos...
