My parents were sent there from red cross because of the fire and when they got there the rooms were too small and the bed was up against the wall so you have to climb in and out if you're the one against the wall. They asked them for bigger room or at least bed not up against the wall, mobility issues. He did not try to accommodate them and my parents said they have to find different hotel and don't charge the red cross but he said you used the room but they just looked at it. He is charging a week for them to look at it!!! I will never stay there for that reason ! Even if it was the only room left then they had to leave. The room was to crowded for two people to move around. That's not the problem but that you said your charging for the time because they went into the room to look at it and turned around and left. Maybe there was a misunderstanding on both parties but you did say they used the room so they were being charged when they only went in and realized the room couldn't work because the room was too small for mobility issues. I hope you just said it and not charging. The red cross paid for a few nights because they were on evacuation for weeks. Taking advantage of a program to help people in need is my problem. ...
Read moreWe did not stay at the this lodge . We stayed at the dump across the road (Sage Hills Motel)However we decided to have breakfast at the Bears Claw restaurant in the Lodge . We were not disappointed as the food was great , the service was even better .... outstanding as a matter of fact . As a server this young lady really had it all together on all levels . As 2 of us in our group are very involved in the restaurant industry , and 1 of us actually owns a busy restaurant , we were rating our server as we usually do (LoL) . We agreed we would hire this young lady on the spot if she applied at our restaurant . She was incredible . That was until a few minutes later ......... when we were discussing all the inconvenience's of the ''Covid'' rules and restrictions for the restaurant industry with her , our awesome server suddenly decided to drop an ''F'' bomb AND the G.D. blasphemy term for some unknown reason . As Christian people we almost fell off our chairs . Sooooooo disappointed and discouraged . What a way to ruin ... what started out to be a incredible breakfast experience . We will be praying for this wonderful young lady but sadly we will probably never eat there again because of this . Such a shame...
Read moreThis was our second time staying there and it has gone drastically unacceptable since. We arrived at the Lodge and there was no one to check us in. We rung the bell and still no one came. After 10 more minutes we rang the bell again. Finally the chef, came and basically threw the key at us and left. The room was okay although it was the smallest we had ever seen. We decided to watch TV. We tried and tried to turn it all to no avail. Finally we went to the front desk. Once again, no one was there. My husband waited 10 minutes to get the chef/manager attention. He said he would come see in our room. He came fairly fast so no complaint there. He brought a different remote control and attempted to explain it to us. His phone rang and he left. So we still had no idea what to do. We have been to several hotels and had no trouble with televisions. We eventually gave up. The lighting was low and there were no tables at all. We will not be back. We go through Cache Creek 6 times a year so we will have to find other...
