HORRIBLE!!! (The pics down below is the situation in which they can offer us 50% off for the room, and it took us 3 HOURS to get the room after check in, WORTHY OR NAH?) I CANT EVEN BELIEVE that I’m still in the lobby at 1:30 am after check-in at 11:30 pm. We drove from Montreal and it took us one day to be here, nice weather, shooting star, beautiful music in the car etc. Everything was nice until THIS THING HAPPENED IN BAKER HOTEL! All the things look pretty good of this hotel before the Murphy bed broken. When we done the Murphy bed setup and my girlfriend (weight: 100 lb) tried to sit on the mattress, YOU CANT IMAGINE WHAT HAPPENED, the bed was TOTALLY BROKEN!!! YES, ALL THE PARTS( screws, bed stead, anything…) WAS 100% FALLING APART, and that was HOLLY SCARED, since the steel pumped out and it ALMOST HIT the other girl stand behind the bed. We asked the front desk for help, he got no solution for that at all, no refund, no compensation, no anything guaranteed, mom say “NOTHING IS GUARANTEED IN THIS WORLD” BUT! It shouldn’t be the attitude of a 4 star hotel would show, and even this situation could be 100% avoid during daily safety check!!! It’s so traumatic for me to sleep in that room, but they got no other room for us, and it’s Friday night, so of course no other hotels are still available. Now they said they gave us 50% off for the room issue, but they can’t guarantee more with my mental health, I don’t know what to do next, and still waiting for them to take the bed out, so I would take a rest and prepare for tomorrow’s schedule. I probably got PTSD when I see Murphy bed again, I hope I can get rid of this nightmare soon. It’s been 2:02, and we are still waiting for our room ready

Hôtel Baker is a thoughtfully updated historic property with modern touches and some character from its past still showing through. They’re currently renovating the lower level to include a movie theatre and arcade, which looks like it will be a fun addition. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable, but after about an hour we noticed water on the bathroom floor from a leak in the room above. The staff responded right away — they checked the situation and offered us a new room. The only available option was smaller and in the older section of the building, but it was still fine for our needs. We appreciated the staff’s prompt attention and their offer of a partial refund for the inconvenience. Check-in service was excellent, and although our room wasn’t ready when we arrived around 4 pm, we were able to relax in the comfortable lobby and plan our activities. Beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated having a fridge and a Keurig coffee maker in the room. The hotel is in a great location — just a short walk from Rue de la Reine with its cafés, restaurants, and shops. One note: there’s no elevator, so you do need to carry your luggage up and down stairs — but the hotel is only two floors, and staff offered to help.

Hotel Baker is as they say the gem within the gem that is Gaspé. Set on a hill facing the Gaspé bay, it offers a splendid view if you take a room on that side. The hôtel is modern, classy and very well kept. Rooms offer a lot of space. Everything is nice and confortable. On the same site, you will find a nice tavern (see below), a theater with a current playlist of movies and a small gym. Staff is accomodating and helpful; they’ve let me park my motorcycle right at the front of the lobby for the sake of its security. The tavern, named Tëtû, is nicely set also with a panoramic view on the bay and it is confortable. You will find a pretty good selection of wine and liquors, and a reasonnable list of beers. The menu makes a wink at a staple of french canadian popular dishes, like the hot chicken, however with a touch that upgrades the experience. On the downside, I would recommand the tavern to hire staff with more experience in customer service, as many of the employees are cold and distant when waiting tables, but they do know on how to let us wait on them.

Venez dormir dans notre hôtel, that’s it.

Tse,...

Lets start at the beginning. At arrival the staff was neither friendly or unfreindly. They just didn't care it seems. We arrived at our room that we reserved about 5 months in advance we were disappointed to see that we were assigned a parking lot view with a nice view on the local taxi company .... Nice... In any case why would I want a nice river view ....

The room it self is not that bad. They put a queen size bed but a king would have fit. The furniture has seen better days. I dont think they changed it when they renovated the hotel ... Pretty sad. They bathroom is small. And when I say small mean SMALL. Even one person with a normal size has a hard time moving in there !!!. On the plus size, the shower is very nice. I would guess it s about 48x60 with all the required amenities.

The floor was poorly cleaned. Lots of hairs on the floor when we arrived.

Keurig coffee machine is provided in the room but BEAWARE ! Bring your Kcups because they only provide one (1) per room per stay....

The resto in the hotel, the "Tetu" is very expensive and they dont even provide a cup of coffee with your breakfast. You have to pay it.

All in all I had a corporate discount and I still paid about 165$ a night (tax included) for a very average room WITHOUT a breakfast. Very...
