My boyfriend and I stayed at this motel a couple weeks back. I don’t normally write reviews, but for this motel I have to share my experience. Upon arrival (which we called ahead to say we would be there about 9pm) the man working physically walked out of the office with my boyfriend to show us our room of (208) which is pretty much beside the office. He told my b/f he would show him as the room numbers had fallen off?? Anyhow..when it was time to give my licence plate, my b/f accidentally gave his even tho it was my vehicle we drove in. Now..the strange thing happens at 1:39AM in the middle of the night..blaring super loud our hotel phone rings from the same man working in the office asking if “We were in our room??!!!!” He tried saying he was having someone arriving late and he didn’t remember what room he gave us?? (He didn’t want someone coming in to our room by mistake)!!! Which makes me think hotel room keys are not secure to their own individual room assigned ..(how would someone accidentally open our door to a room you assigned to us??)or in worst case senario..perhaps a robbery?? As it would be when I asked my b/f to if he gave my license plate he told me no..he gave his by mistake..which makes me think “okay, so it looks like we are not in our room now?? My b/f went out to tell the man working he gave the incorrect plate number, and he said it didn’t matter. Well, as my b/f exited our room I did see a young man leave the parking lot after coming out of the office..BUT..no one being let in to the room next door which is apparently why we were woken up at almost 2AM. With no sleep after that b/c I was honestly concerned for our safety at this point..no chain/deadbolt on the door either. Up til 5am and did not hear anyone come in or out next door to us. When arriving back to my hometown I inform a family member of this incident, which raised concerns with him..he called a couple times to Mastersons only to be hung up on and lied to..(the guy told my relative that my b/f was not directly showed the room/so, basically calling my b/f a liar) my relative was not able to get in touch with the owner. So, that is why I’m leaving this review. I don’t write this with spite, but when you pay $140 to be woken up at 1:39AM asking if we r in our room..does surely cause red flags to me.(nice to spend that money for literally 3...
Read moreWe booked a room for 4 and I tried to contact the hotel to advise that was going to change to 2 guests, they did not respond. I then contacted hotels.com because that’s who I booked the room through and they advised it would need to be done through the hotel itself, which they also tried several times to contact with no response. On check in date I advised the hotel owner of this and he said I would need to go through hotels.com for a refund of the $40 extra guest fee. I contacted hotels.com and once again they advise because I selected the pay later option that means the hotel itself is physically processing the charge and they, bring the hotel, would need to be the one to credit or remove that charge. The agent at hotels.com offered to reach out to the hotel to resolve the issue, which they did, and the owner refused the refund once again. But this was not the only issue. When we entered our room it reeked of cat pee but because we were so exhausted we just went to sleep and would advise the hotel of this the next day. We had to leave early in the morning and knew we’d be out most of the day so we put the “do not disturb” tag on the door as we do not like people in our room when we are not there. We returned to the hotel around 4 pm and I noticed before we even parked that the do not disturb tag was no longer on the door. We entered our room and sure enough housekeeping had been through the room and left 2 windows unlocked and wide open which now meant our stuff was subject to theft if someone wanted to as the main window is more then big enough for someone to get in. I went to the front desk to lodge a complaint of both these issues, the cat per smell and that someone entered our room when we posted do not disturb. The female employee basically just kept shrugging me off and said that housekeeping didn’t know any better. I would absolutely not recommend staying here based on...
Read moreI'm currently staying here for the night and I got to say I'm quite impressed. I called just a few hours ago in hopes they'd have a room for the night. They not only had a room on such short notice but they allowed me to pay a cash deposit since I didn't have a credit card on hand. The gentleman I spoke with was very kind and helpful. He quickly got my family and I into a room. When I walked in, the room smelled clean. The beds were well made with sparkling white sheets. Thank you for not using those awful tacky bed covers lots of hotels still use because those almost never get washed so I'm so glad you guys don't have those lol. I use to work in housekeeping so I appreciate your housekeepers attention to detail. The carpets did have stains but that happens and probably just old. The only thing I will say is there was black hairs left in the tub area, the toilet seat looked like it needed a better clean and the shower curtain needs to be taken down and thrown in the wash with bleach as it was horribly stained. Other than that the place is great so far! We paid $86 bucks, with tax it came to $100 so not bad at all. Hampton inn was $200 and up for one night so I was quite happy with the price. I haven't seen the other rooms so I can only speak for this one (number 5) but I'm glad we got a decent room for what we paid. We have stayed at hotels where we paid waaay more to be very disappointed so thank you so much for our lovely stay! I will recommend...
