I would like to apologize to the owner of the Budget Inn in downtown Hamilton Ontario Canada. I had a bad experience with something personal who made everything escalate and it made me angry with everything and I took it out on the Budget Inn. Luckily I was able to rent a room with them again a year later. I have realized that it was me who expected the staff to feel sorry for me for what I have been going through and experiencing as honestly they were just doing their best job. I didn't expect anything like that and I really appreciate their hospitality and customer service. As everyday I had clean sheets and towels, the staff very friendly and courteous making sure that I had everything I need. My issues really under no one's control. It was my responsibility to pay for the room and asking them to wait until I could make the payment wasn't their obligations. Sam and Monika really tried hard to ensure that our stay was pleasant and enjoyable and safe. From the bottom of my heart I thank you very much for everything and I wish you the Best. Thank you very much for...
Read moreWow! This place lives up to its urban legend as the most infamous joint in Greater Hamilton. Overall grubby feel, unclean & attempted to keep my $50 deposit without a couple full scale arguments with both owners. They made unintelligible explanations for the holding back of the deposit but in the end probably couldn't stand hearing their own lies and attempts at shoeing me away. I don't think so . If you think this is an appealing place by the reviews, pictures and reputation then you'll probably be satisfied for the most part. They definately live up to their unbelievably low class, broken down and unique abismal existence in an actual Underrated and high class metropolitan an proud university town The budget Inn 2000 sounds like an attempt at a bad science fiction based place to stay or even vacay while in steeltown, but they fall short of all but the lowest of expectations this attracting the fringe members of society to consistently meet here en mass in the urban epicenter of Central Hamilton in South Central...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at the Budget Inn 2000 on Sept 28 and Sept 29. I was nervous about staying here because one our friends had stayed here in previous years and didn't have very nice things to say about it. We decided to keep our reservation and judge it for ourselves. Upon arrival I was a little bit worried because the front office isn't very welcoming at all and it smelled of smoke. The gentleman working at the front was nice and pleasant. We received our room keys and was quite relieved when we opened our door. The room has been renovated with new laminate wood floors, freshly painted, the bathroom tub and shower has new tile, the towels were clean, the bedding had crisp white linens but sadly the bed was quite hard. The room had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and satellite tv. The next day the smell of smoke was gone completely which was a pleasant surprise. Our stay here was good and the only downside was the hard bed, but for the price of the room I wouldn't hesitate about...
