I reserved a 6 night stay at this hotel. On the 5th day I came back to my hotel room to find several items missing. When I spoke to the front desk staff, he said that no one had been in my room except for the cleaning staff and there was nothing to do. The next morning I spoke with the manager nick Patel who said the there was a note at the front desk saying that they found some items in the trash bin that they decide to hold for me (which made no sense). When they brought out the "found" items I mention that there were still some items missing. Then he said that 90% of the time its the clients that have misplaced their own property. I explained that that wasn't the case and that my bag was thrown in the middle of the floor. He said that he would look into it and call me the next day. I said great. I haven't heard back from him. Horrible experience.
Manager Nick Patel responded that he asked how much the candle was worth, he NEVER asked me that. Also, the point is that I didn't put these items in the trash and they couldn't have accidentally ended up in the trash since the bag these items were in wasn't anywhere near the trash. Read moreMy new vehicle GPS stated Lake View Inns and Suits. I went looking for Lake View Inns and Suits but when I found the address it was Ramada. Ramada took over the place and did a complete renovation. So, remember look for the Ramada sign. The rate over the phone was the best rate in the city. I was worried it might be a run-down place. We arrived and there was lots of parking out front. We entered the newly renovated lobby and we were welcomed by a nice young man at the front desk. The staff were more than welcoming and very eager to take care of us. There was a coffee and juice bar on arrival. We got the key to our room and off we go. The room was very modern and everything was spotless. There were lots of towels and in room coffee. Nothing was missing and to top it all off the king size bed was new and comfortable and we got a good night sleep. Breakfast was served at 06:30 AM. There were lots of items to choose from. They had sausages, bacon, eggs, ham, pancakes, cereal and juices. They had everything you could ask for AND all good quality and fresh. The owner or general manager asked us how things were when we were having breakfast. He was personally concerned about his guest. In summary rather than going on and on this has to be the best spot to stay for overall value and you will not be disappointed. Read moreThere is nothing positive to say about my stay and experience at this hotel. The on-duty manager (Nick Patel) was unprofessional, berating and arrogant. There was a miscommunication and misunderstanding with my reservation and instead of being treated as a guest, I felt more like a tenant that was behind on rent payments. I was locked out of my room and publicly scolded at the reception area. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I do not write reviews as I previously worked in the service and hospitality industry, I simply choose to not return when I am unhappy with the service I receive. However I feel it very necessary in this case because no one should be treated with such disregard and disrespect especially in this industry. The situation could have been completely avoided if he and his staff followed a better confirmation policy upon check in and if the issue was brought to my attention when I arrived. Instead, as I said I was locked out of my room and basically called a liar publicly. I will be launching a formal complaint against him with head office.
