The Dover George — Hotel in Ontario

My wife and I had one of our most enjoyable stays at the Dover George for all the right reasons: The automated check-in works effortlessly. There is plenty of parking on the property. It is located on a quiet street. Functional components such as plumbing, electrical, heating, a/c, black-out blinds, bedding, towels and so on are new and of the highest quality. The interior décor is spectacular throughout. We are of the opinion that we have not been to a more tasteful location, whether a hotel or BNB. Beyond its beauty, the hotel has been outfitted with quality items that are actually used by guests, such as a cozy in-suite fireplace, upscale coffee equipment and desirable snacks and drinks. The hotel’s owners are an approachable, lovely couple whose passion for this hotel shows at every turn. And the breakfast turned out to be the highlight of our stay. Prepared by the owners and a helper it was an hour long parade of delectable and frequently novel concoctions that blew us away. Who knew that breakfast could be this tasty? One would be hard pressed to find a more desirable place to stay or a better value. We recommend the loft (Suite 4) which, while priced higher than the other three suites, is more than...

I just spent 5 days at the Dover George . Hélène and Mike the owners have just finished a marathon (4 years) conversion of a brick two story house into a stunning masterpiece . The attention to detail is truly fantastic. From the decor to the design theme . Each room is different, but the design threads through the whole house. They have really achieved their goal of a luxurious inn where you feel comfortable and pampered by what they have done.

We stayed in the largest room #4 which is located in the penthouse. The room is bright and airy ,windows on all 4 sides as well as a skylight balcony . With a large bathroom , a sitting area in front of a gas fireplace and a reading/napping area under the skylight.

When we arrived Mike took us on a tour of the living room and kitchen and showed us how everything works. Pointing out the delicious breakfast pots that we will have for our breakfast the next morning along with freshly baked croissants.
