I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel.
When I checked in, they asked for my company name. When I asked what they needed it for, the lady said "so we know someone from your company stayed here", which didn't make much sense to me, so I opted not to share, as I believe it's my right not to share non-essential information with private companies. I wasn't rude, I just said I didn't want to share that information if I didn't need to.
Later, we were in the lobby and overheard the front desk staff Googling the domain of our email addresses and very loudly and unprofessionally disparaging our organization and saying we were "spies" for not wanting to tell them the name of our company. This was very rude and confusing. We could hear them very clearly so they weren't even trying to be secretive. Needless to say, this was very unprofessional. And again, a hotel is NOT entitled to nor do they need a company name for a booking, so I don't see how we're spies when they're the ones who want to store our private information.
Even more concerning is the fact that I was woken up at 1 AM by two men hitting a woman in the parking lot. This happened more than once over the next hour and I called both the front desk and the police. It appeared that at least one of the assailants or the woman was a hotel guest as they used a key card to enter the back door. I don't know what came of this situation and when I inquired with the front desk in the morning, the man told me everything was fine and apologized for the noise. I asked if the woman was okay and again he just said everything is fine. I felt that he was trying to brush me off which did not make me feel comfortable that the hotel had dealt with this adequately. My concern was not the noise but the well-being of the woman and the safety of the hotel, and I don't feel confident in the hotel's response to either of these things. I see from other reviews that other guests have also seen and heard things in the parking lot so clearly this is a...
Read moreNot the best costumer service when booking there was no mention that we needed a credit card so we assumed we would be fine without but the simply refused which most hotel there is always another option most hotels accept cash or a visa debit for a deposit they straight up refused and when we told them we would have no where to stay and would be left stranded the employee who was “trying to help us” she basically laughed at the fact we would be left stranded and that is not someone who should be working in costumer service or a job that deals with people if this was my hotel i wouldn’t want someone who would laugh at something like that to be working for me or dealing with people and once we got this all sorted we were treated like criminals even when we were checking out they treated us horribly like we were criminals which is wrong as nothing when we booked said we needed a credit card and the conformation email didn’t mention needing a credit card and the general manager wasn’t much help either in fact he was just as rude and she was they watched out every move when we weren’t in our room or out of the hotel I would not recommend this hotel since this is how there costumer service is and the fact that this is acceptable behavior in a work place is disgusting especially from the general Manger not to mention the price we paid and the security deposit we paid was definitely not worth the price for the room or the service we received I could get a better room at a motel with...
Read moreI stayed here for five nights 1/21/13 .. This is Owner/Operator style so they are very conscientious about everything. They accommodated numerous requests including giving us a free private conference room for family meals so our family can eat cold meals (also has a bed in it) . We did a lot of research beforehand and we found this to be the best value for the money . .. Fridge in every room.. ect .. we rented 10-15 rooms for about 5 days . Pros: • Free internet connection is very good and hassle free.. hooked on right away . • Most rooms pretty large . • Big office chair in every room. Very work friendly. • Rates were the best for what you are getting. • The hotel tries hard to make things right. • Walking distance to Food Basics.. (20-25 min walk to Walmart also) • Linen seems pretty fresh .. • You got the fridge . In the winter put your soda on the window-sill and open the window a crack .. you might want to do that any way .. you get a nice exchange of air
Cons: • Soft (but good quality) beds as opposed to firm or medium • expect a hotel that was built 30-50 years ago .. • Bathroom hardware and room hardware and decor is pretty dated (some rooms may be updated but very few) • Owner operator hotel .. so everything is personal business as opposed to a chain… not the cool employee run type . • I don’t know why .. NO EXHAUST FANs in any of the BATHROOMS . • 3 stars out of 5 .. because of the décor...
