To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service and communication provided by the Jamaican patty restaurant Run2Patty, located at 1224 Shillington Avenue, Unit A, Ottawa, Ontario.
Over the past few days, I have attempted to contact Run2Patty multiple times via phone at 343-999-2283, during the listed business hours as stated in the automated voicemail: Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Despite calling during these hours, I have been unable to reach anyone as the automated message repeatedly states that they are busy with another customer. Furthermore, the voicemail inbox is full, preventing me from leaving a message.
On January 4th, at approximately 2:22 PM, I again attempted to call and received the same automated response. Frustrated with the lack of response, I decided to visit the restaurant in person at 2:40 PM. Upon arrival, I found the restaurant closed, with no note on the door and no lights on. This is in direct contradiction to the business hours stated both on the voicemail and on Google, which inaccurately lists the restaurant as being open only on Thursdays.
I have wasted both time and gas traveling to and from this location, only to be met with unprofessionalism and inconsistency. It is extremely disrespectful and frustrating to experience such poor communication and service. I hope that management can address these issues promptly to prevent further inconvenience to customers.
Thank you for your attention to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm not really sure where to start my review of this place, other than I feel like there needs to be a separate rating for food and experience. The food was mostly great, the platters were delicious and a very good size, and I feel like this place has a lot of potential.
The experience made me feel like I can't rely on the restaurant to go back again.
I'll try to just share as much of my experience as I can as a warning.
Ordered online for pick-up, website was easy enough. Though there was no receipt email or time for pick-up on the order.
Tried calling multiple times for questions, no answer.
Showed up at the restaurant, they are only allowing 1 person in at a time to pick up - which is good, but it took about 5 minutes per person. I was third in line when I arrived and it took about 15 minutes just to get inside and even ask if my order was going to be ready.
One platter was not going to be ready for another 7 minutes and they ran out of one of the patties we ordered - just exchanged it for another kind after I was informed.
By the time I had the order in my hands it was 30 minutes after I originally lined up outside.
It seemed that they packed half the order before the other half was ready, so one platter was cold by the time we ate (live less than 10 min away).
Platter pictures online show fried plantain in the meal but none was received.
Ground beef was slightly undercooked in one patty, otherwise it was good, just personally didn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a customer of Run2patty for the last four years or more before this new location. My family and I are fans and order or have ordered at lest once to twice a months. Sadly lately that has slowed down. We usually get thier Mac and cheese sometimes with chicken or shrimp other times plain. With that we always get a patty beef or chickpea. And then of course for me is always chicken curry platter. Always! Well the last several times it has been a huge disappointment. The Mac is dry the party is flavorless and well the curry just tastes bland. Hence this weeks on Tuesday more specifically the curry just tasted like garlic. And thatās when Iāve decided to throw in the gloves on my found curry place. And my husband and daughter threw in their glove on the Mac and patty. It was a really good place to eat at one time. I was really excited at the style of curry they were doing. Everything was good until it wasnāt. My best advice would be is to keep it consistent. Iām figuring that there is just too many different cooks in the kitchen. Some know how and well some just donāt. I donāt think the quality of food you buy should depend on the day it was ordered and who cooked it. So this is it for us. Money is spent both ways. On the provider and the customer. My money isnāt bad. Neither...
