Best Western Rocky Mountain House Inn & Suites — Hotel in Rocky Mountain House

My husband and I were headed home to Whitecourt from Christina Lakes, BC and the day had predented many unexpected twists. Rather than continuing the last 3 hours to home after being on the road since 7am, we decided to stop in Rocky and rest for the night. Chose Best Western as we had just stayed in one in Nelson and it was great so we figured we would do it again.

We were not disappointed. The staff that helped us was amazing. We had no reservation and they were able to put us in a King Suite as they had no queens left and gave us a discounted price without a request from us.

Room was wonderful, clean, spacious with a separate living area from the bedroom.

Shower was decent (shower head could be better but not horrible), I like that they give you 'rags' to use if need be so as not to use the white ones.

Quiet, bed was super comfy

Breakfast included and was a decent continental spread

Has a pool and slide but we were not able to use it as we had no time.

Only regret is we weren't able to stay longer. Thank you so much!

Also, best western hotels give you points per stay so you can earn free stays so that's a win in these...

Such a great hotel for a reasonable price! My husband, daughter, and I spent a weekend at this hotel and we look forward to returning!||Some things (and people) we would like to pay special mention to are Tawnie, who worked TIRELESSLY at the continental breakfast. I don’t know how much she is getting paid… but it’s not enough. Tawnie was running around non-stop, cleaning, stocking, helping guests, and doing all of that with a smile on her face. If a manager sees this review… please give this woman a raise. She impressed my husband and I so much that I actually went to the front desk to ask her name (I had to ask for her name because she was working so hard/fast I couldn’t catch her name tag). ||Another person that shed a light on our trip was Karen at the front desk! Karen was welcoming, informative, and she was so kind to my family. After an unsatisfactory stay at another nearby hotel in town, we were really delighted to find this Best Western. The room had a heating and cooling system that ran smoothly, it was a really quiet stay, and we also enjoyed a nice dip in the swimming pool with water slide, and the hot tub. All of which were clean and of good working order. We were unable to try the breakfast provided in the lobby (due to our own prior commitments) but there were several guests seated there and enjoying this feature which was of no charge. About the only thing I would recommend to them is that it seemed quite wasteful to have four full-sized pillows set on the Queen sized bed. Two would have been enough and the other two could have been tucked away in a drawer or the top of the entry closet. I know they stated in the washroom they are trying to reduce laundry by asking us to reuse our towel, which is no problem - it just then seemed wasteful to have extra bedding to wash...
