Bonnyville Hotel — Hotel in Town of Bonnyville

Upon arriving to this hotel, you must call the front desk attendant to get him to come to the desk. We told him we booked our room online in the morning, and he told us it was stupid to book a hotel the same day we wanted to stay. He informed us the reservations get sent to his boss in edmonton (who by the way works nights so he sleeps during the day) and will text him in the evening the information. We told him we wanted to stay for four nights and he huffed and puffed asking why we would want to stay so long as he had other people that might want to stay and told us he "would see how it goes" In the room, it seemed ok... until you realize you have one fork, and one towel- and have to fight with management to get a second towel. Oh and should I mention that our garbage can was a kitty litter container, and in the four days, the (under the table) paid housekeeper didn't grab our garbage once. ( but he was MUCH nicer than the "management" was) The hotel says it is non smoking, but it's very apparent that's not true as soon as you walk through the door. The smoke is so thick you can see it come from underneath the doors. Would not stay here again. would not...

We came here to have a place to stay for the night so we could explore the lakes surrounding Bonnyville during the day. The front desk was unattended when we arrived so we waited till somebody showed up, an elderly man came out after awhile and said he would call the front desk. The front desk came down and asked us if we have a reservation without even greeting us. But that was okay, The worse part was when he told us that you have to pay extra for the second person upon checking us in, I was shocked coz we book for a single room with 2 adults but he wanted to charge us extra.i told him what was on my itinerary which was for a single room for 2 adults and he told us -“Okay, I’ll let you get away with that now but you can’t do it next time”- I was like, are you out of your mind! We are not in any way taking advantage of you coz we are just going with what was on our reservation. so I told him forget it, and walked away. Called Expedia and cancelled my reservation there.. If you're looking for something simple, clean, and affordable, this place is the one! Not fancy by any means, but I have been here for 4 months in a kitchenette room, and have found it to be very clean, comfortable, warm, and cozy. It has been a wonderful second home for me while I'm getting settled into my new job position, and I have zero complaints about anything. Cable and internet service has been awesome, when there was a minor issue with the internet, it was taken care of promptly.
