Fire King Kebab — Restaurant in Town of Bonnyville

First thoughts? What is this place, and why is it in THAT building? Well, rest assured, not only is the food ABOVE and beyond, it exceeds expectations in every single way. Flavorful, fresh, not overly salty, never overdoes it on the palette, presentable and aesthetic, hand-made with love, care, and experience.

I have visited Fire King Kebab many times, and the first, on a whim, taking a chance, I've come to realize that there is no place that comes close in the Town of Bonnyville. You might be able to get some of the things they serve, elsewhere, but no one does it better, no one comes close, not even a long shot away, to how the two owners (a very sweet, kind, and friendly couple) simply defy expectations.

The place its in is almost a subversive store front. Tucked away into what most would consider a 'seedy' hotel, you will not regret taking the couple steps up and into this establishment.

The portions for everything are fantastic, great value for money, and as I've iterated on about five different ways so far, incredibly delicious, tasty and filling.

They are very cleanly, washing their hands, and wearing gloves when prepping food with their hands.

Unlike other places, they shave their donair meat, roasting most-succulently on it's spit, right then and there, rather than storing it in a steamer like another competitor does in the hopes they can ensnare some sucker. Fire King doesn't pull its punches, nor does it have anything to hide. It wears what it does front and center, and with pride.

There is never, and likely won't ever be, a time when you can go wrong with dining here. By yourself, with friends, or even your family.

I cannot recommend the Chicken Shawarma Star Wrap enough! Cooked with the Green Sauce, add Tzatziki sauce, and ask for Lettuce, Onion, and Tomato, and if they're willing to accommodate for an added fee (they do for me, because they're just so sweet like that, and the price is reasonable) they're amazing rice. It sort of turns out like a Star Wrap Middle-Eastern Burrito and it is TO....

RUN DON’T WALK!!

You will not get a better meal in town! My significant other and I ate here tonight for the first time after reading reviews (would like to say Marc and his photo of his star wrap sealed the deal for us to try this). I don’t think I could EVER say enough good things about this place, which lets be honest is VERY refreshing in this town.

Don’t let the location discourage you from giving this place a try. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, very clean and well kept. The Couple behind the counter where incredibly welcoming, very nice and even let us top up our fountain drinks on the way out the door.

I got the wrap described by Marc in his review and with the first bite I was BLOWN AWAY. Nice crunch from the “toasted” wrap, amazing flavours, the rice and green sauce gave it the perfect spice. The fries are out of this world, what I would describe as the perfect fry.

My significant other got the fire donair burger, one of the best burgers had in a long time!

Will ABSOLUTLEY be our new “go to spot” Can’t wait...

Found this place after my daughter’s basketball game in Bonnyville 2 nights ago. Everybody was hungry so I hit the search button on my phone to look for a closest fast food chain. So I went inside, it was quiet I thought they were already closed. To my surprise, it’s authentic middle eastern (Jordanian) restaurant. Ordered to go (4 large chicken shawarma wraps) since its gettin’ late and we still have to hit the road for Cold Lake. As we were driving home we were diggin’ to it and it was amazingly tasty!-it even beats our fave shawarma restaurants in Toronto. My kids love it! We are definitely going back and sitdown for a meal in this spot. The lady who took my order was very warm and welcoming, you can tell she has the passion for what she does. If you find yourself in Bonnyville and looking for an authentic cuisine, this place won’t disappoint, definitely a must-go!👌
