The food is okay, expensive and the sashimi and nigiri isn't fresh as it could be for the price but the racism is definitely not okay. Me and my husband came here to eat last week around 4pm and it wasn't busy at all. For context, we are native and another white couple came in to eat AFTER us and were seated promptly and asked for drinks immediately from the server, the sushi chef even greeted them politely where as when we came in we didn't receive any greeting, the server came to our table late to ask for drinks after we've been seated. I asked for hot green tea and got a lukewarm pot of water with no green tea bag. I asked for the tea and she took the pot and seemed to put a lipton green tea bag in there without even heating the water so the tea wasn't steeped and she still charged me for it. Our bill was close to 90 dollars and yes, we tipped. We are indigenous and are used to this treatment from everywhere else but we thought Osaka would be a new experience but they are prejudiced just like every other surrounding town. We will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.
If you are native and indigenous DO NOT eat here, they will give you lousy service and not fresh food, while giving another table better service in...
Read moreI recently dined at Osaka Sushi in Bonnyville, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal.
The menu offered a wide variety of sushi options, ranging from traditional classics to creative specialty rolls. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted fresh, showcasing the quality of their ingredients.
The staff was attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout the meal. They were happy to answer questions and make recommendations, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
One standout feature was their sushi chef's skill and precision in crafting the rolls. The attention to detail and artistic flair added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
While the focus was on sushi, the restaurant also offered some non-sushi options, ensuring there's something for everyone.
In conclusion, Osaka Sushi in Bonnyville is a fantastic choice for sushi enthusiasts or anyone looking to explore Japanese cuisine. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're...
Read moreWell the sushi was not that bad neither good don’t get me wrong. but they have that rule for all you can eat that if you leave sushi you pay 2 $ for each. Anyways we ordered sushi and asked to remove ones with fried shrimp, since they use the same oil to fry everything and my friend had allergy to chicken. Anyways instead of removing the ones we didn’t want, the chef replaced them with California rolls which we do not eat. So we told the waitress to take them back since we did not order them, she said it is oki leave them. After that the owner and the waitress where trying to penalize us for leaving them, food we did not order and they told us leave them instead of taking them back. I would not advise anyone to go there, the owner needs to be rude and do all that for an extra 16$ which I refused to pay for something I never ordered. You are in the service industry, if you treat clients properly it is good for business, and if you don’t they wouldn’t go back, and Would share there bad experience to...
