Quite pricey for what I had, a "special" that cost $14.99 (let's call it what it is, $15) for a half order of chicken pesto penne. The meal was okay, tasty and all, but this would have been a reasonable meal for $10.99 or, at most, $11.99 in a small town restaurant. I know that Bonnyville, Alberta is an oilpatch town and likely a fair number of people who live here make very good wages. But the oilpatch in this province is under a definite chill right now and, judging by the "For Sale" signs on many houses, I suspect the Bonnyville economy is suffering right along with the rest of the province. Maybe the owner of the Lakeland Grill hasn't heard about the oilpatch recession in Alberta but I bet his neighbours have. I've been traveling to quite a few Alberta small towns lately and I can definitely say that the prices at Lakeland Grill are out of line. And the service... in a word, awful. We were told to seat ourselves wherever we wanted, no problem so far. But then we waited for three minutes for the waitress to bring us our menus, all the while she was chatting with an acquaintance or co-worker, standing not 20 feet from us and in plain view to us. I finally got up and got the menus myself, no apology from the waitress. If I knew what the prices were like I'd have left right then. Anyway, I won't be going back there.

We tried this place on our travels after reading some favorable reviews.. Asked what was the most ordered dish, the chicken souvlaki. We both had it and it was delicious just the best Greek food. Will definately be back!

Long overdue..It's my great pleasure to share our terrific experience and admiration for this Family owned Restaurant. Not only have we become steady customers but another great part of going here is the Family feeling that we share with Nora and Nick and their wonderful staff and other Family members who work hard to bring their expertise to your dining experience. There are many choices in town but none can take away the atmosphere and comeradery of this place! We are always made to feel at home and enjoy the large menu choices provided. From take out orders to dining in, if you leave hungry, it's your own fault 😆 the food quality is excellent and if you're not comfortable with the order, they will absolutely make it more to your liking and palette, no question. Good food along with great service and great smiles 😃 😊 Oh and if you didn't know already, Nick's Lounge is their other "to go to place" with a great menu and a different dining experience service with you're favorite bevvys! Hope to see you there...

For the most part it was good, service was great other than the main course came before we hardly had a chance to touch our appetizer. Atmosphere was great, food was okay. Had a calamari as a starter, it was quite flavorless and rubbery. Maybe that's what I get for ordering Seafood in Alberta? I probably would have let that slide and still given a five-star rating but there was one big setback. I also ordered the seafood alfredo, The Taste wasn't bad. 2 points taken away because the tail shell was still on every one of the shrimp and I had to dig around in my messy pasta with my fingers to get all the shells off. The shells should definitely be removed from shrimp when they are being used in dishes such as pasta. Overall, service was awesome and I still had a fun night, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't...
