Restaurante Nice Kriola — Restaurant in Achada Santo António

There’s nothing special about this restaurant except maybe the view and decor. I came for the black spaghetti pasta, which unfortunately they didn’t have. So I ordered the seafood linguini, and it was good and basic. Service was decent and my waitress was nice. Gratuity is included in the bill. They accept credit cards.

3 stars is due to the ambiance and the constant smell of cigarette smoke. I guess I was expecting music and a more lively atmosphere which wasn’t there on Sunday. Some music would be nice, not just 2 big TVs showing the news. Because the restaurant is outside this gives guest an option to smoke. So while I was eating dinner I was also inhaling and tasting cigarette smoke in my meal. I sat near a huge party of smokers so it wasn’t the ideal dinner atmosphere. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and good food.

Prices are slightly higher than other restaurants in the area but portions are generous.

We arrived for dinner around 7.30 and the place was open and there were a few tables already being served.

A band started to set up around 8pm and started to play at 9pm. The music was nice and the environment very festive although a bit loud for conversation.

A differenza di tutti gli altri tavoli,la cameriera si e’ premurata di NON portarci il tagliare di salumi e formaggi. Volendo dare una seconda possibilità’ al locale ci sediamo a cena (siamo l’unico tavolo in tutto il locale). Abbiamo fatto 8 diverse ordinazioni perchè puntualmente ci veniva detto che quanto ordinato presente sul menu’ non c’era. Ad Ogni ordinazione la faccia della cameriera diventava più scocciata. Abbiamo chiesto il prezzo dei vini e ci è stato risposto in maniera molto nervosa e in due round diversi il prezzo delle due uniche bottiglie presenti. Dopo mezz’ora di attesa ci portano un Hamburger immangiabile: carne simile alla suola delle scarpe,patatine fritte scotte e fin qui tutto okay…. Se non fosse che non abbiamo ordinato quell’hamburger. Quando l’abbiamo fatto notare alla cameriera,dopo essersi confrontata con il cuoco ci ha risposto che l’Hamburger era lo stesso: bastava togliere l’uovo. Quando gli abbiamo detto che mancava anche il formaggio sciocciata l’ha spalmato dentro. Finita questa immangiabile cena,dopo aver pagato un conto salato per la zona,abbiamo preso una caramellina sul bancone ma la cameriera ci ha urlato addosso che dovevamo pagarle.
