HOSTAL LLUHAY — Hotel in Ancud

We had booked to stay 2 nights at Hostal Lluhay in December. The booking was made directly with the Hostal via email in March and the lady wrote that everything was confirmed and that we didn’t need to pay any deposit in advance. ||We turned up in the car park after a long journey and were told by a gentleman working outside the Hostal that we couldn’t park there as the Hostal was full. We confirmed that we had a reservation but he stated strongly that there were no rooms for us. We went into the restaurant area of the Hostal and showed the gentleman copies of the emails from them with the written confirmation but he was not interested in looking at them.||We next asked to speak to the lady who had written the emails and were told that she wasn’t here and could not be contacted as she was ‘sleeping’ but would be in in an hour. We said we would wait to speak to her. ||After waiting over an hour and being told the lady still couldn’t be contacted, we decided the leave the property so that we could look for somewhere else to stay. We were extremely disappointed with the treatment we received and despite having their booking confirmation in writing did not even receive any kind of apology. We have also emailed the lady who has not given us the courtesy of a reply.||As an aside, we managed to get accommodation at the Eco Cabanas KimPiyan instead, which were excellent, ensuring we enjoyed our...

We only have positive words for this place in Ancud: the room was perfect, the staff flexible when we told them we were on a tight budget, the breakfast was delicious. Also, the interior design with plenty of plants was lovely as well as the location with a lovely view at the bay and the outside terrace. But most of all, we were touched by the kindness of the owner Mrs. Nélida. She is a true angel! When we told her we were in trouble because our bank passes would not work, she helped us out without a hesitation. What a dear! I will recommend this...

I believe Hostel Lluhay to be the best Hostel I've ever been in my life, almost as if I had never been there and was only a dream. ||The location is just incredible, you litterally feels like you are on the water as the view is spectacular. ||The service is higly professional, very clean, internet works perfectly and I had the most delicious breakfast but what makes this place unique is the level of care and attentions dedicated to the guests. You will feel at home even if you don't have one....
