This hostel turned out to be exactly what we needed after days of cycling through the desert. First thing I noticed was the amount of space to safely park and store the bikes – no stress about squeezing them in or leaving them out in the open. That already made a big difference.
The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The staff were genuinely friendly, quick to help, and seemed to understand the needs of tired travellers passing through. It felt welcoming rather than transactional, which counts for a lot when you’re on the road.
The food was a real highlight. After pushing hard through the desert, sitting down to a proper meal was an absolute blessing. It wasn’t fancy, but it was hearty, fresh, and exactly what you need to recover some energy.
The rooms were simple but comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed – the kind of place where you can properly rest, regroup, and prepare for the next leg of the journey.
If you’re cycling, driving, or just passing through, I’d definitely recommend this hostel. Plenty of space, good service, and a hot meal at the end of the day – everything you...
Read moreEnded up in this hostel as I was invited. Could only endure one night and moved somewhere else. The hostel is an irregular construction using the cheapest materials, seemingly built in different stages at the lowest cost possible. Steep "stairs" to the second floor (if you can call them stairs) not for the faint of heart. Rooms are by far the worst I have ever stayed, with absolutely no thermal or noise insulation. Rooms (all tiny) are depressing, particularly those at the first floor, with only a small window towards a roofed inner small corridor, thus dark as coal. Water with uneven temperatures from scalding hot to warm. Rooms had a small heater insufficient to the extremely cold nights of the dessert, particularly in winter, thus even as I dressed back at the middle of night could not sleep much to the cold. ||No soap at bathroom, only a sachet of shampoo. Cheapest toilette paper you can find in the market. Would not recommend it to anyone. Food as simple as it can get, breakfast only tea and coffee and bread with...
Read moreThey accepted our booking over the phone the night before, said the hostel is only 4 blocks away from the bus terminal which it isn't (we had to get a taxi) and when we got there they had given our room to someone else, saying that they only hold it for an hour! Our 24 hour bus was delayed but they didn't inform us on the phone about their policy, otherwise we wouldn't have bothered going. 40000 chilean dollars a night for the poorest...
