We booked this hotel because we had an early morning flight from Calama and did not want to take a long shuttle drive from Pedro De Atacama that early and risk missing our flight. ||There were several issues with our one evening/night stay. ||1. While the room was clean and all fixtures worked fine, it was stuffy as there was no ac or fan in the room. When we tried to open one of the windows to let in some fresh air, the mosquitoes got in so we had to close the window. As result, spent most of the night tossing and turning as the room was too warm. ||2. The room came with a small kitchenette. It had only one drinking glass, one cup... It took three visits by the room service staff to figure out what we were asking before they finally brought the missing items! This is despite us showing the room service person what was missing. This just shows serious lacking of training in responding to customers who do not speak Spanish.||3. The front desk staff was pleasant but very very slow in checking us in. I looked like he was new on the job because anything we asked him, he did not understand or could not answer. ||4. We decided the have the buffet dinner in the restaurant. The manager told us clearly that the price was 11,000 CP per person. There was quite a bit of variety and the food was fresh and fairly tasty. Then we get the bill and we notice that we have been charged 14,000 CP per person!!! When we call and ask the manager (I think his name is Fernando Hara), he says, "Oh, the price has changed but I did not know about it"!!!!! Seriously? How is it that he did not know what the correct price of the buffet was. It's not like the restaurant has a la carte service. THERE IS JUST ONE PRICE FOR HIM TO REMEMBER. Then he gets someone else to come and talk to us. We were firm. We said, if the restaurant manager/staff made a mistake in quoting the wrong price, it is their job to correct it and not make the guest pay the difference for their mistake. Then he tried to make us feel guilty by saying "Oh, I am new to the job. I will have to pay the difference out of my pocket...". We were shocked by his lack of professionalism. He should be fired. Read moreGood night this hotel is so original and designed to stay secure and you can see the little details in everything. The people in the reception is so so kind. I felt so comfortable when the persons come to me to help with a trouble that i had in my apartment bedroom. You can feel safe and you can visit the center of the city where is near to the GEOTEL. I would thank you to all staff includind the security team. They were so nice to me and it was a grateful experience in this space. People were so genttle with me. I will invite you to this so amazing place. Visit us with all your family. Also, if you don't anything about the freaking places that are in Calama, you just ask about. The reception team were so prepared to this task. They managed the english and french language. They can speak portuguese and russian too. Well, the know places like OJO DE OPACHE; it's a gorgeous place. They can guide you to this way. Come to the Geotel and you will notice the difference with another hotels in Calama City. Fiz a reserva de uma diária neste hotel e me cobraram o pagamento na manhã do dia da reserva, até aí tudo bem, quando cheguei para fazer o check in me pediram um segundo pagamento, que seria uma espécie de caução para cobrir custos de consumo no frigobar ou coisas assim, tudo bem, paguei os 59 dólares no cartão. Na manhã do dia seguinte, por volta das 5 da manhã, estava arrumando minha malas quando começou a vazar água do registro do chuveiro, ninguém tinha usado naquela manhã, foi repentino, fui até a recepção e avisei o responsável, não sei se entendeu porque falou que iria ser resolvido e não me preocupasse, fui tomar café da manhã, guardar as malas e continuou a vazar água do chuveiro, sem aparecer ninguém para resolver. Fui até a recepção novamente para fazer o checkout e avisei que continuava a vazar água, falou de novo que iria ser resolvido e disse que estava tudo certo, só ir embora e deu tchau. Falei então do meu reembolso que não tinha sido feito, ele disse para colocar meu cartão na maquininha mas não conseguiu fazer a operação , falou então que tinha sido com meu cartão virtual (a cobrança que recebi do booking na manhã da reserva), tentamos fazer novamente e não deu certo, o recepcionista não sabia o que falar e não conseguimos nos comunicar, falou para irmos embora que iria ser resolvido, pedimos para falar com outra pessoa e não tinha ninguém. Simplesmente ele não fez questão nenhuma de tentar explicar o que estava acontecendo, não sabia se comunicar e não fez esforço, eu e meu namorado nos alteramos, começamos a falar mais alto, ele chamou um segurança que também não sabia se comunicar que pediu meu celular e usou o tradutor para falar "no fim do dia tudo vai ser resolvido, podem ir embora" simples assim. Sinceramente fomos assaltados no Chile, alugamos um carro em que a empresa não devolveu uma caução de 4mil reais até agora, como confiar em um funcionário inexperiente que iria devolver algo que ele nem sabia como, se estavamos indo embora do país naquele momento? Fomos embora sem resolver nada, mandei uma mensagem para eles pelo booking informando do caução não devolvido e do problema no chuveiro, mas não me responderam, no fim da tarde no Brasil recebi o reembolso. Agora, quase uma semana depois recebo uma ligação do booking falando que eles nos denunciaram por má conduta, expliquei a situação e a responsável pediu desculpas pelo ocorrido, que não sabia que eles cobravam caução pois não está dentro da política deles e deveria ser comunicado na reserva, mas que iriam averiguar sobre a nossa conduta. Sinceramente, não ia fazer avaliação nenhuma, agora faço com gosto dando o minino possível, pois a humilhação na hora e posteriormente é enorme, treinem melhor seus funcionários e coloquem na reserva sobre o caução e a devolução que não é...
