Hostal Residencial "INTHALASSA" — Hotel in Caldera

We stayed here for 5 nights and found the hostal excellent and good value for money.|Very large room with dining table, fridge, kettle and microwave. Dispenser of drinking water is also provided. Also nice bathroom with new shower and lots of hot water. The staff are excellent and offer clean towels and sheets every day. A large supermarket Uninarq is just across the road and colectivos to Bahia Inglesa pass right outside the door! 5 mins walk to the main plaza with restaurants and cafés - fantastic location.|Only minor problem was that the wifi didn't work in our ground floor room but worked well in the common area outside the room do no big deal.|If I'm ever back in Caldera I would...

Estuve en 2 habitaciones por disponibilidad así que en general:||CONTRAS||Las ventanas de las habitaciones (excepto las que miran a la calle) dan hacia el pasillo o patio interior por lo que son oscuras y debes mantener la luz encendida durante el día.||Se siente olor a humedad y azumagado junto a las camas por la poca ventilación que hay aunque dejes tus ventanas abiertas. ||El aislamiento sonoro no es bueno así que escuchas el ruido de los otros pasajeros, otros baños y la calle que es principal. El toque de queda ayuda mucho al silencio.||El wifi es muy irregular, no es confiable si, necesitas trabajar en algo.||No se cambia cubrecama y fundas de almohadones entre pasajeros, las que tenían olores de otras personas, bastante desagradables. Esto aunque decía que tenían protocolos contra Covid. ||Las almohadas de la cama también olían mal.||Las sábanas eran de microfibra y honestente aún tengo la duda si las cambiaron antes de que llegáramos o solo las sacudieron. ||El aseo diario hay que pedirlo o no entran. ||Se paga con EFECTIVO o TRANSFERENCIA. No puedes pagar con tarjeta de crédito. ||||PROS||* Está cerca del centro y del puerto, frente a un supermercado, a unos metros de la comisaría. ||Las habitaciones tienen mini fridge, hervidor, microondas y bidón de agua filtrada.||Las habitaciones tienen dentro una bandeja con café, té, endulzante y azúcar de libre disposición.||Hay cocina y utensilios disponible.||Hay un estacionamiento pequeño, debes solicitar que te guarden un espacio y estacionarte de acuerdo a tu hora de salida. Un día tuvimos que despertar a alguien para poder sacar el auto. Otros alojamientos no tienen estacionamiento y hay que dejar el auto en la calle.||La ducha tiene buena presión de agua fría y caliente y alcanza buena temperatura.||Entrega toallas y jabón de tocador.||Hay alcohol gel y amonio cuaternario disponible en los pasillos.||La gente de recepción es amable...

This place was a fairly short walk from the bus station and across the street from a large supermarket. The woman at the front desk was very nice and seemed to want to help us. One day she even offered to bring someone from across the street I think. We did manage to find an area with some restaurants and pretty good food, but it was all very confusing.
