I had one of the nicest stays I've had in Chile when I stayed with Sixto and Edith at their hostel. I first met the owner when I arrived in town and needed to get to the start of the trail to La Junta, and Sixto offered me a taxi ride there. When I returned to Cochamo after the hike without anywhere to stay, they welcomed me in and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. Edith makes the best home made breakfast - especially the manzana pie and bread rolls.
