Kalfu Patagonia — Hotel in Cochrane

I would highly recommend this unique place to stay. The room was very nice, and the owner Rodolfo was very personable and made sure I had everything I needed. In addition, I was there a few weeks ago, and there were really bad weather conditions, with more rain and snow predicted. I was leaving the hotel the next day to go through a remote border crossing, at higher elevations, into Argentina. I told him this and he took the initiative to help me make sure I was the most prepared I could be. He helped me fill out an additional form that I didn't know I might need (which they did ask for), and actually called the authorities to make sure the route was open. Much appreciated! We stayed in Kalfu for two nights for our honeymoon in the cabin with a loft for 2-3 people. Cabins were very clean and spacious, well equipped, with a king size bed. Kalfu is family run and we enjoyed their amazing hospitality. There is different fresh food for breakfast every day. When all the restaurants were closed for Election Day, Rodolfo and his family put together some dinner for us and we watched the election with them.
