The location and view from the room is amazing, the design of the hotel is beautiful and the lady that prepares eggs at breakfast is very friendly. Those are the only positive things I can say.||The rest of the staff seems uninterested and is not helpful. We got late check-out and planned accordingly, next day the other girl said the previous girl hadn’t written anything down and they needed the room because the new guests were waiting for the room.||The hotel is extremely noisy, you can hear everything people say in the hall and reception. Anything moved in the rooms or hall makes a lot of noise because of the stone floors. ||There is a little carpet on the foot-end of the bed, on a wooden floor meaning you slip when you step on the carpet. ||After coming back from rafting and being very cold, the warm shower I hoped for was not possible because the water was cold and it took them 5 hr to have a decent hot water availability again. ||Breakfast is that ok with few options but not what is normally expected at a boutique hotel. The bar is not open ‘because there is nobody to attend guests’. It said there was a restaurant (still info in the rooms for the View Restaurant), but it is also closed. There is another restaurant on the property (Bocadero, excellent food and staff), both hotel and restaurant say they are not related but the receipt of the restaurant appears in the hotel’s name. ||In summary : there are probably a lot better hotels in Coyhaique, this one is absolutely not worth what they charge. Having been to many boutique hotels, this one has none of the atmosphere that is needed for a boutique hotel. Neither owners or staff seem to care about the guests with the ‘sh*t happens’ attitude when informed of problems. Look somewhere else and spend your money...
Read moreWe arrived at the hotel late afternoon after a long drive from lago general Carrera. The hotel is in a suburban setting but has been beautifully designed and decorated. It is sited on the edge of a canyon - a surprise when you enter - with picture windows capturing the view. Our rooms were clean and spacious with a good shower. They looked over the canyon. Good wifi. We were very happy with our choice until we went downstairs for dinner. This was situated in a separate building next to the hotel. Don't try it! We wished we had read the Trip Adviser reviews. At breakfast delicious looking pastries were stale. For comfortable beds and a quiet night’s sleep it...
Read moreWe stayed 2 times 1 night in this hotel, and enjoyed it very much.||The public areas are nicely decorated. All rooms are large with ample sitting space and well equipped bathrooms. ||Large and good beds.||The rooms are situated at the back of the hotel and have a great view over the valley behind the hotel and the fields.||As both our stays were on a sunday the hotel resrtaurant was closed (and so were most other restaurants in Coyhaique) so we had to do with a pizza in the simple pizzeria oipposite the hotel.||We can certainly recommend the Nomades Boutique hotel as a good place to stay...
