This small hotel is in a heavily restored wooden building nicely in keeping with the rest of the town. The interior woodwork is all new ( except for some old pillars in the restaurant, evidently from another building) and nicely varnished. One room ,roped off,has a fine display for the serious fly fisherman.Elsewhere ,the decor is an elaborate mixture of local relics( ice-box) and items from interior furnishers which I recognise from UK hotels.| We had a top (attic) floor room which was pleasant, but very dark and without available power sockets. Two beds, rather than three, would have been a big improvement- but they were good beds with proper sheets and blankets, not just a duvet. At night it was quiet, without creaks. There was a large fan ;very useful on a warm night if you can find somewhere to plug it in.| The small bathroom pleased me by having a bathtub, although I would have preferred the toilet cistern to have been repaired during my two night stay.A cold wet hand becomes tiresome after multiple times .| We had breakfasts and one evening meal.My wife had an Italian dish;I had “ estofado”.The Italian dish had a very poor tasteless Bolognese sauce of bad texture, apparently reheated. My stew had been around for a long while, also. The promoted Chilean wine( Castillero de Diablo) is one commonly found in the UK,and is NOT typical of the otherwise very good Chilean wines we had elsewhere.Breakfast is in the B&B style, with individual tables laid with a fixed elaborate set of dishes- no choices.| I can recommend the hotel, but would advise that better meals, both breakfast and dinner, can be found within a few yards.Bring your...
