NovAqua Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Olmué

Really nice location in the centre of the Chilean folklore. The landlady is really friendly and does anything to make you feel at home. Breakfast is absolutely marvelous: fresh eggs and fruit, warm bread, yoghurt, cheese, ham, jam and local pastries. There's a pool where you can swim with the beautiful mountains of the national park 'La Campana' in the background. The town square is only a 3-minute walk away. There you can find a market with traditional Chilean products. If you are lucky, you can see local youngsters practice 'la cueca', a traditional dance, on the town's square. On the square you can also find a really good restaurant 'La Fogata' with traditional Chilean kitchen and really nice, freshly made cocktails! Only downside: dogs and traffic. If you are a bad sleeper, you better bring ear plugs. Just in case the dogs in the neighbourhood start barking, or the traffic is too...

We had such a wonderful two day stay in Olmue, the town itself is lovely and is the start of a fabulous mountain walk. We are so glad we chose NovAqua to stay, as it was an absolute haven of loveliness. Ingrid the owner was a most kind and helpful host and gave us great recommendations. The house is beautiful and our bedroom was so tastefully decorated, the bed was so comfortable and beautiful linens. Breakfast was a feast and free range eggs a delight. 😊: Excellent communication prior to, and during our stay. Bright, spacious, spotless and very comfortable bedroom with the added bonus of a fridge and balcony. Just a short walk away from the town centre and restaurants. The national park it’s just a short bus or taxi ride away. Margarita made the best breakfasts with a little variety every day.
