This is a very lovely hotel with lovely grounds. We arrived at about 11 AM on our anticipated date of check-in. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to check in at that time even though the hotel was essentially empty. Fortunately for us we encountered a gentleman named Manuel who is really a jack of all trades. He met us at the door and helped us unload our luggage. He made sure that it was properly secured so that we could continue with our drive and tour.||Later that evening when we came back to the hotel Manuel was still there and was serving at the bar for happy hour and later as our server at our table. Really incredible service. He made the very best Pisco sour‘s we have ever tasted. He went out of his way on every occasion.||We had specified that a crib be available for our granddaughter and without the help of another woman who was going off duty the crib would not have appeared until the next day as we had been told by the check in staff. This seemed incredible to me and to my daughter-in-law who works in customer service for Marriott hotels. |This is a beautiful facility in a beautiful location but for us without the presence of Manuel a worker who truly cared that his customers were satisfied and cared for our stay would not have been so pleasant. The air-conditioner did not work well. The patio door leading outside was falling off the hinges. I am not sure if the hotel was understaffed because this was the low season in mid April but each employee could head to the overall customer experience. I would say that the food that was prepared for us during happy hour and two meals in the restaurant was very, very good. Our personal recommendation for a local dish would be the pastel de choclo. I would certainly come back here and hope that Manuel is still hard at work for...
Read moreWe came 4 nights with 2 young kids. The hotel is fairly new, great park, nice architecture, bur sadly like in many other places in Chile the staff and the service was terrible. First time in my live after 30 years traveling that a Hotel wanted to charge for early Check In for arriving at noon!!!! Then, restaurant service after 2 nights dinning there, took 1 and half hour to arrive the dishes. The place was not ready to attend a full capacity long weekend...many other people just left the place when dinner was taking more than an hour. It looks like one cook for a full Hotel...not expected for 4 star hotel.||At breakfast we asked for eggs not scrambled and the staff said was not possibly. Sadly another waiter brought fried eggs to the table next us. Surprisingly depends on who you talk on how things get done in this hotel. Like many other places in Chile, staff don't make decisions to serve better clients.||Very dessapointing. We are finishing our staying and hope all goes well the rest of the days. Think it over if you want to come here. Not value for money ||Anyway, we are finishing our...
Read moreWe just spent a week here over the Christmas holiday and loved it. This was our second stay and the staff remembered us and gave a warm welcome on our return. English is not spoken |as well as you would find in a larger city but with a modest effort and google translate, we had no problem.|If you require all hours room service and constant attention, this is not the place for you. The staff is small but welcoming and the dinners were excellent.|The grounds must encompass 30-40 acres and are beautifully maintained with many flowers and interesting plants . The snow capped Villarrica Volcano is part of the gorgeous view from the hotel grounds.|It’s like living on an estate in many ways.|We feel quite at home in this low key environment and look forward to returning...
