We stayed here for only two days and we were sad that we had to check out.
This hotel is FABULOUS. The property, common spaces, and rooms are all beautiful. The views from the rooms are exquisite and the WiFi works wonderfully. They just get everything right here.
This is a family operation where mom and dad own the establishment and the sons (and other unrelated staff) assist.
We stayed in rooms 6 and 7 at the end of the main hall. These are rooms with two single beds. The bedding is comfortable and the rooms are clean. The view is exquisite with an ideal picture window overlooking the fjord. There is plenty of space and comfortable seating to enjoy the view from your room. My only suggestion would be to include a bidet feature in the bathroom. Even if a full fledged fancy seat bidet can't be installed, it would be great to have the small handheld feature for cleansing.
The common spaces are fabulous. The dining area also has great views and comfortable seating and there is an additional room I called 'the warm room' as it seemed to have a greenhouse house effect with the windows and sun.
Breakfast is included with the room and consists of a continental spread of the very best croissants you've had outside of France along with meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, grains, excellent coffee, and made to order hot eggs.
One of the sons, Esteban, is also the chef and he cooks a meal every evening for those staying on property. If you want dinner, you just let them know ahead of time and it will be waiting for you. It's typically served at 8pm but we arrived back late from a day tour and they had our 3 course meal ready for us at 10:30pm. Remarkable! (27,000 CLP)
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and really didn't want to leave. As my friend said, it's like starting your flight in first class and being asked to move back to coach in the middle of the trip. Our subsequent accommodations just didn't measure up.
If you are in the Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine area - just stay here! Don't bother with the...
Read moreI cannot recommend this hotel enough! The location is beautiful, minutes from the airport but it feels like a quiet sanctuary right on the water's edge. They leave the green spaces natural so there is a meadow of tall grass and dandelions that all flutter and sway in the ocean breeze. The rooms are incredibly clean, comfortable, spacious, and simply decorated to accentuate the enormous picture window that gives you a view of the Ultima Esperanza Sound (the view from the lobby/restaurant is even more spectacular!). The breakfast buffet is perfect: freshly brewed coffee, a selection of teas, fresh squeezed juices, pastries, yogurt with toppings, huevos revueltos to order, and more were all delicious and a great way to start the day. This area turns into a full service restaurant in the evening and I can't adequately express how amazing the food was. It was all delicious, but the sopapillas with a trio of sauces were truly a highlight of my entire trip to Chile; I'll be daydreaming about them for the rest of my life.||Beyond the clean and beautiful rooms, food, and location, the service and utter hospitality of the staff was something I have never before experienced. On our first night, we didn't have restaurant reservations but they were able to accommodate us last minute (and thus my life forever changed upon trying the aforementioned sopapillas). Another day, we had an early morning tour of Torres del Paine scheduled and had to leave before breakfast was meant to start, but they opened it early and we were able to caffeinate and eat before we left. I just want to say to Martin, his talented chef brother, and all-around amazing mom: you each made our stay unbelievably wonderful, fun, and happy. Thank you!!!||TLDR: Martin and his family have made the most comfortable, welcoming, and beautiful place to stay in Patagonia. You don't need to look at any other hotel options for Puerto Natales,...
Read moreMy friend and I stayed at Hotel Simple during our visit to Patagonia and could not have been happier with our decision to stay here - our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! As the name suggests, the hotel itself is very simple and doesn't have all of the amenities of other large hotels (we considered staying at The Singular next door but so glad we opted for the more boutique experience at Hotel Simple) but what it lacks in amenities, it makes up for in views, vibes, customer service and the absolute best breakfasts! The hotel is run by the sweetest husband and wife that were always there to make sure we had everything we needed (they were literally there when we checked in at 10pm at night as well as during our 6am early breakfast starts). They prepared an incredible spread for breakfast that included everything from cooked-to-order eggs, various cheeses and meats, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, avocados, granola/nuts, yogurt, and every type of pastry, bread and spread you could need before setting out on a big trek through Patagonia. There is a large "living room" off of the dining room that was the perfect setting to have a custom-made cocktail and take in the views while listening to the coffee-house music playing in the background - seriously great energy in this place! While the location isn't in town, we didn't mind at all - we were able to walk to The Singular one evening for dinner (we did this on our second night but should note that Hotel Simple also serves dinner and the food was amazing) and it's only a $5 taxi ride into town. We also did several organized tours and the companies were happy to pick us up from the hotel because it is on the way from town to the National park. Would 100% recommend Hotel Simple to anyone considering a stay in the area, you won't be...
