Recently spent three nights at this hotel, we found the room large, clean and comfortable. We were glad to get an early check-in which was greatly appreciated after an overnight bus trip from Santiago. The breakfast was tasty and the coffee was good, none of that instant stuff you usually find in Chile. Located nearby are a bakery and two supermarkets and within walking distance of the local market hall. The cable TV was good.||||Negatives: Our room at the end of the hallway, second floor, was located near some very loud washing machines? Although offered free Wi-Fi, it did not work on our floor and nothing was done to fix it. The room did not have an iron or hairdryer which at the nightly rate, should have been available. No Porter service, we had to lug our heavy luggage upstairs even though reception saw us struggling. we almost fell actually. On our first day, hot water service wasn't working. Even though it was fixed promptly, they obviously knew about the problem but they didn't tell us which made for a rude shock in a shower.||||Overall a comfortable hotel, but you could probably find better alternatives...
Read moreThe good stuff||- the bathroom was spotlessly clean, there was loads of really hot water which was important to me as I'd just cycled 40 km along dirt tracks and was filthy ||- beds were comfy||- it felt secure ||- secure covered parking - with a van and 15 bikes this was important to us||- free wi-fi that worked.||||The average - It's a bit tired. I was in room 209, and the fixtures and fittings were okay. I pulled the shower curtain across the bath and the whole shower rail fell off and hit me in the head, but it was made of such flimsy plastic there was no harm done, it was more a comedy moment as I tried to extricate myself from the shower rail and curtain. I managed to put it back up easily and to be fair didn't ask for any help from the hotel, so I didn't give them the opportunity to fix it. It stayed in place for the duration of my visit.||||In short the place is okay, I didn't love it, didn't hate it. You get what you pay for basically and this served its purpose of a 1 night stay before heading to...
Read moreI have travelled S America extensively: Argentina, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, bRazil and Chile. Work brought me to Temuco, Chile (which doesn't seem like there's much to do), but I spent much of my time resting at Hotel Turismo. The chef and the staff at Hotel TURISMO. The staff reminded me what service really is. The food was made with LOVE, I ate breakfast lunch and dinner here. I feel so good. They were so attentive, and went to great lengths to ensure an easy comfortable stay. I'm so happy with my experience here, I give Viktor and and the...
