The only redeeming qualities of this hotel are its convenient proximity to the airport and the reliable Airbus service that connects travellers to various destinations. While the rooms are indeed spacious, several notable drawbacks significantly detract from the overall experience. If you find yourself assigned to a room facing the main road, be prepared for intrusive noise; the sounds of traffic and city roads can permeate the walls, making relaxation a challenge. Even in the hallways, the acoustics allow sounds to travel easily, meaning you can overhear neighbouring conversations. Adding to the discomfort, the television in my room was nonfunctional, further stripping away the possibility of respite or simple enjoyment.
Initially, I held high hopes for my stay in one of the suites, anticipating a touch of luxury and comfort. Unfortunately, these expectations were swiftly dashed as sleep proved elusive amidst a cacophony of disturbances. However, I must point out one positive aspect: the shower in the suite was delightful, offering a refreshing and invigorating experience at the end of long, exhausting days.
Regrettably, the customer service throughout my stay left much to be desired. The front desk staff appeared to lack proper training in providing quality service; their demeanour was consistently impersonal and curt. I felt as though I was reduced to a mere room number rather than treated as a valued guest. The typical check-in protocol involved a hasty glance at my passport, a cursory indication of my room's location, and a quick direction towards the elevator—there was nothing warm or welcoming about the experience.
I strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your stay. To compound my frustrations, the McDonald's directly across the street turned out to be surprisingly inconvenient; they refused to accept contactless payments, and you can't use a McDonald's China app it's only for China residents, which felt perplexing in a modern setting. The pricing at the fast-food restaurant was also inconsistent, adding to an overall atmosphere of confusion and neglect. Moreover, I found no assistance from hotel staff regarding nearby dining options, resulting in moments of feeling stranded and aimlessly wandering the neighbourhood in search of a meal.
If you're considering travel to China, I urge you to approach your accommodations with caution. My experience here made me yearn for the warm and welcoming atmosphere I encountered during my visit to Tokyo. At this hotel, I often felt unwelcome and out of place. Unfortunately, due to a layover, I had no choice but to book a room here, but I can assure you that I will not make this mistake again...

Read moreWe had a 9 hour transit in Beijing Airport between flights from Tokyo and onwards to Manchester. Rather than hang around in the terminal or book a lounge for the long lay over, we decided to book a hotel and use the free Chinese Transit Visa. It was remarkably easy to do at the airport on arrival and we entered China for our brief stay. The free Ramada Wyndham shuttle bus to the hotel operated approximately every hour and the information desk inside the airport terminal kindly called to check for the next shuttle time and where to wait. It was the perfect solution as it only took 10 minutes to get there and we were checked in immediately. The staff all spoke excellent English and made us very welcome. The room was comfortable and spacious with a great shower and also had tea and coffee making facilities, perfect for what we needed. We were not there long enough to experience the facilities, but I would certainly recommend this hotel for transit passengers. The free transfer shuttle returned us to the airport in the early hours for your...
