for this price point, i think the hotel was quite nice! the place was clean, the room was nice and had a TV, and the bathroom was quite spacious. hotels in beijing are notorious for being either small, run down, or filthy... so our was pretty good. we did want one big bed at first but they did not have one available at check in and gave us a two twin bed room; which was still alright, but there was not a lot of space for our suitcases. WATER! they would give us 2-4 bottles of water a day! it was so much that we were not able to drink them all in time so we ended up giving some to a friend in a hostel who didn't have water haha. this was a super nice touch and so nice of them! we were super dehydrated before and i think the housekeepers noticed LOL.there is laundry! but the hours are 08:00 to 20:00, which kind of ** because i usually do laundry early in the morning or late at might. they had a washer and dryer. the location was a 10ish minute walk to Tiantan and 5ish minute walk to the metro station! i just wish there was more to do near the hotel, but everything was a 15ish min walk away, which was not bad!to find the hotel, however, you need to walk through the front gate (should see metal bars next to a car gate opening, walk around the metal bars). do not walk to the other side of the hotel or it'll be locked and you'll have to walk back around. the hotel is kind of tucked in, hence you have to walk through the metal.the staff was quite nice! they helped us refrigerate our food and heat it up in the morning. they're also able to refill hot water for...
Read moreOur stay at the ibis hotel in Tiantandongmeng, Beijing, was a pleasant surprise. The hotel’s prime location, just a five-minute walk from subway exit C of Tiantandongmeng, made commuting around the city a breeze. Its close proximity to the Temple of Heaven added a touch of cultural enrichment to our trip.Convenience was key, with a grocery store and a delightful local Chinese restaurant nearby. We also discovered a charming bakery offering freshly baked bread and pastries, and for those craving a taste of home, there's a McDonald’s within walking distance.Despite booking our room at a very affordable rate, we were impressed by its spaciousness, which surpassed that of other hotels in Beijing with a similar star rating. The room featured a large and comfortable bed, and having a window added a refreshing element to our stay.We had the chance to try the hotel’s buffet breakfast once. While the options were somewhat limited, the food was satisfying and provided a good start to our day.Overall, our experience at the ibis hotel in Tiantandongmeng was enjoyable and offered great value for the price. We would consider staying here again on future...
Read moreIbis hotel Temple of Heaven , east gate. The reception staff are warm, friendly, efficient and helpful. Delicious hot tea on arrival. The rooms are comfortable and well fitted out. My first room had a smell of cigarette smoke. I asked to move and my second room was perfect. We have opening windows and a net screen for summer. There is modern central heating so you don't have to turn the AC in winter. The hotel is in a convenient location, was close to the metro line and Temple of Heaven. It is set back off the main road so no traffic noise. Breakfasts are a real deal. A full Chinese selection with western options too. Food fresh. Cleaning staff are kind and attentive. The hotel is generous with water and they use quality bottled water for which I am grateful. And yeah, everything works, the drains work, lights. The place is clean. Downstairs there is a mini lounge when waiting for whatever and a storage space for your luggage. This is my 4th Ibis hotel since being in China and this one has been my best stay and value for money. We were given a gift bag when we left, with lovely body cream and...
