Da Cheng — Hotel in Changsha

I had a wonderful stay at the DaCheng Hotel! The location is perfect for Pedestrian Street and all the beautiful shops. getting a bit expensive now!||My partner is from Changsha so we stayed at hotel rather than at her apartment. gave her a nicce holiday as well.||The hotel was a good location, clean, friendly staff speaking fair English so i had to use my basic Chinese no problem,||I loved the night stalls which stretch for miles and miles and miles wow. amazing.||Right opposite the hotel!||Breakfast excellent both Western and Chinese. Love the Hunanese food! Especially spicy fish in boiling oil.||Hotel room rates were okay I always bargain with the staff and get a much cheaper price than what is advertised.||Next door ajoing the hotel is a lovely huge restaraunt worth visiting. babnks are close, massage parlours close and lots of western take aways for those who miss their KFC etc.||I definitely recommend the DaCheng to...

For about $30 a night I got a suite. The hallways look luxury and the carpets seems to be new. The facility looks clean. The rooms looks a bit dated but it is very spacious. ||||The suite has a living room with 3 coaches and nice looking furniture. The living room also has a guest restroom. ||||The bedroom has a love seat and a king bed. It has a PC monitor and a TV that we were not sure how to use. The master bathroom looks clean but the shower needs some update. The water will leak and make the entire floor wet. The towels look clean but were wore out. The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub. ||||The suite is a smoker's suite and it has a strong cigarette smell. It is also odd to see condoms for purchase placed in the nightstand. The A/C needs to be checked since regardless of setting, it stays at 26 C.||||Overall, I had a good rest and the room was spacious and fairly clean but is not a 5 star luxury hotel.
