To Chinese language-challenged people like me, it took a lot of courage to pick a hotel that seemed like catered to the native guests instead. My assumption was turned on its head once I walked into the old but spacious and comfortable room, and laid down over the decadent duvet-covered king size bed. And there was no trace of previous smoking in my room. ||||The next morning's sumptuous breakfast buffet spread chased away any remaining doubt in me. And topping it all up, the very dedicated receptionist in the morning of May 31st took the time to help me hail a taxi, some blocks away from her post. All of these interactions were done via sign language. I could not be more pleased and will gladly return to Wandai Hotel on my next stop in Changsha. ...

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, situated just minutes from exit 8 with direct underground access to the metro station. Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a vibrant array of shops, eateries, and restaurants, offering plenty of options right at your doorstep.

I stayed for two nights and appreciated the unique setup of the lobby, located on the 7th floor. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, ensuring a seamless check-in experience. My room was impressively spacious, featuring stunning city views that added to the overall ambiance. A thoughtful touch was the toilet bowl's washing features; however, the absence of AI assistance in the room was a slight drawback.
